I have read a lot of comments from people stating they steep for up to a month or more. Call me crazy, or just a noob, but I never have noticed a difference in flavor after a day or 2 at most.

It depends on the flavor, of course. Try some of Virgin Vapor's Double Chocolate out of the mail, tastes like burning rubber tires (no lie). 2 months later it starts to taste like chocolate...

Steeping/Streathing/Breathing ALL affect different blends differently.

Depends on the juice, it's ingredients, mix ratios, and the person vaping it. Especially true for tobacco flavors, or multiple flavor blends. Anyone who has been at this a while knows that juices which are nasty out of the mail or upon mixing, can become amazing after a month or two. Some are just nasty, and never improve with time. Like Vapetrik.

Personally, I believe the higher the VG, and the lower the Nicotine, the longer it will take to blend properly. Some vendors heat-treat their juices with open tops to thin the ingredients, and hasten the blending.

Steeping works for everything that sits in a bottle.

pre-steeping=mixing it right the first time.
steeping =shaking the snot out of it till its been mixed better.
no need to let it sit for days.shake, let the bubbles settle out.
not right,shake again.

So, I'll revert back to my previous post: If what you're saying is true then all wine, if "mixed right" the first time should not get better with time? Some wines don't require steeping (aging) and some do, but what's this you say? We're not talking about wine, we're talking about E-Liquid and yes you're right we are, but we are also talking less about just "shaking the snot" out of something, we're talking about a chemical reaction between sugars, acids and other components that happens over time. Just my :2c:

steeping is not ageing, ageing is not steeping.
ageing is a biochemical process involving microbes.
in wine its the yeast that inparts specific charisteristics to the wine,
and adds the alchohol.juice doesn.t have this going on.
steeping is emursing a subtance into a liquid to leech desired
substances from it.
if letting your juice just sit makes it seam better to you so be it.
if any thing the contents are settling because they weren't mixed right the first time.

I stand by my statement that steeping (should be ageing) liquid is a chemical reaction and will produce a different if not better liquid over time and I'll agree to disagree with you as it seems like you don't get my point.

Steeping or aging or whatever you call it makes a big difference for something like ry4, which I find needs at least a month. My simple fruit DIYs take a day or two to taste better, then don't change very much after that.

Yes! And with custards, etc. Anything complex or 'tobacco' only improves with steeping. Maybe taste is SO subjective that even steeping/aging/breathing doesn't improve flavor for some. I really don't know, but I suppose anything is possible!

EDIT: just want to add that I'm no 'expert'. These are only my opinions...thanks.
