Steeping overrated

Steeping works. It makes things taste better. This is true. It's a fact. That's all I have to say about that.

Also, some vendors sell pre-steeped liquid. Do a google search.

I doubt I've said anything that hasn't already been said, because I skipped the entire thread. I'm lazy today.

Yep. Steeping is the real deal. I lot of flavors don't need to steep at all but custards, vanilla, tobacco, & many desert eliquids make a big change for the better if left to age for at least a few weeks. Some juices go from meh to amazing if left alone for long enough. It all depends on the type of flavor it is.

I don't know much about steeping. If just putting all new juice (regardless of vendor or flavor) in a cupboard for 3 weeks with the occasional "shake" is all there is to it than I'm an expert. Once I learned to order my supplies 3 weeks ahead I then became a Master Steeper and didn't even know it.

Hee Hee. Ain't that the truth. But I got this juice rating stuff figured out now; just read the reviews and order the crap nobody likes. It's typically right up my alley.

I absolutely put Ahlusion in that group!! Use common sense, how can any supplier claim to care about quality while offering 200 flavors! How much time can they possibly spend creating them? I tried several of their 'blends' and it seems clear they are the typical mix some pg/VG, nic and a quick splash of some artificial flavoring and ship... if it happens to be gross on arrival, just put it in a deep dark place for a few weeks and hope for the best!

Glad this thread is still stirring heated debate. LOL. Had plenty of different juices from different vendors since I started it. Some needed steep, some not. Bottom line IMHO, I don't think vendors should sell something that's not ready for the consumer to consume. With a few exceptions such as made to order flavors. Don't think that business practice would translate to other goods. I'm a baker. I don't sell half baked loaves of bread that need to be finished at home.

Point is selling a product that is not ready for consumption is what I don't agree with. How about using aged cheese as an example. Artisan cheese makers don't sell cheese until its at its peak to be eaten. They don't sell you the cheese and tell you to age it at home for a few more months.

When you can customize your juices it would be next to impossible not to have to make fresh. You want things already steeped buy where you don't have choices like pg/vg ratios added flavor etc. I like to be able to customize my juices so I wait for them to be ready. IMHO

Yeah, but cheese makers have huge caves where they can age the cheese until it's ready. E-liquid vendors don't.

I have read a lot of comments from people stating they steep for up to a month or more. Call me crazy, or just a noob, but I never have noticed a difference in flavor after a day or 2 at most.

Although I agree with you OP, I Have steeped juices that companies recommended me steep (MBV just off the top of my head). Last month I ordered a few complex flavors, Doing a taste and a smell test the first day, they were VERY chemically to me, didn't smell like the flavor it said it was. I popped them in a bottom drawer in a shoe box for 4 days, took them out, and the flavors Popped a LOT, and didn't smell like chemicals. So even though I agree with you (Maybe it's my impatience?), some times I just feel like it tastes good right out of the package

MBV mixes their ejuice when orders are placed so they're fresh.

Blue Moo I got tasted Yuk when I got it, almost dumped it, but put it to the back and forgot about it for 2 weeks.
Found it later when organizing things, and tried it again, yum yum, (just needed some time for all the flavorings to mix/meld together).

Mixed up some DIY Hangsen RY1, and tried after a few days, pure nothingness.
Been 3 weeks and now I can taste it at least, may need to add more though.

I learned very quickly about "steeping", "melding", or whatever it is.

My Orange Cream was clear when mixed, now it's kinda pink, although I vaped it straight away and was great.
Pina Colada was clear, now it's light orange, and tasted quite bitter at first, added some creams and 2 weeks later, smooth.

My nic level is only 2mg, but their sure doing "something" all right.

A lot of flavorings are different and need different treatment.
Heat will help to mix things faster but I'm more concerned with flavor loss from heat.
Tried the UC for helping mix, meh, IDK?
Time seems to be the most reliable for me, and I'm a noob and have only been in this for 2 months...
