Hi all!
In my quest to duplicate MVS' Black Tea and being unsatisfied with the Black Tea flavorings I've purchased so far, I got to thinking about just taking an actual tea bag and steeping it in some unflavored e-juice. "A genius idea!" I exclaimed to myself in a moment of pride, and promptly went to the forums to research the idea.
Of course other people already thought of this. After all, this IS the e-cig community and I have a feeling it's comprised of many Natural Born Tinkerers like myself!
When I looked into it, I got the impression most folks experimenting with this are *heating* the e-liquid, then adding the tea and letting it steep for 15 minutes or so.
I'm not sure what's holding me back (probably laziness or more likely the not-so-secret concern that my wife will think I have finally gone off the deep end while at the same time managing to ruin a pan on the stove) but I was thinking about simply taking, oh, 20ml or so of unflavored PG liquid (I buy mine with the nicotine added to it already) and dumping in some loose tea -Constant Comment to be precise; love that stuff with some sugar and cream- and just letting it steep at room temp for a few days or so. After steeping I would pour it through a coffee filter and give it a go. Maybe add a little Vienna Cream too. Hell yeah.
Before I try said experiment, I am wondering if anyone out there has done this already? Again, every discussion I have seen speaks of heating the e-juice and that's the part I am wary of. TheInternet, which never lies, told me there are plenty of people who enjoy cold-brewing their tea, and that the resulting brew tastes fruitier and brighter while also containing less caffeine - but I don't know that PG will have the same effect water does when it comes to flavor infusion.
Thanks much!
