As I've been exploring this new hobby or habit (can't decide which), and exploring this forum, I have discovered how some juices change over time. I think I'm also detecting changes in SI juices, but it could just be my taste buds are changing. So, what's the deal...do SI liquids change with steeping...are they pre-steeped so to speak...and what about pre-filled cartos? Anyone else notice a difference after a couple of weeks or is it just me? Some companies recommend steeping, but I've never noticed SI recommending it.

Since our juices come from china they steep in the shipping and warehousing.... so they should not need steeping....but any juice will steep more over time.

And that makes perfect sense...thanks. BTW Ms. G just tried the mint...her new favorite...and glad to know it will stay that way.

Not sure if I buy into the whole steeping thing. I mix my own juices and more often than not fill a clearo right away and since I mix 20ml batches I don't see much difference in the ones I load right away from the ones that get loaded at a later date, some as much as three weeks later. My feelings are if you properly agitate the new mix and shake it again before each refill it shouldn't change much over time. I think it is more likely that the longer you don't smoke analogs the more taste buds you have functioning making you think it tastes different. I'll revisit this after about 6 months and let you know what I think then.

Juices with more vg need more steeping than juices with less

All of my mixes are 90% VG some even 100% VG, I had some bad reactions with PG early on with some 60/40 off the shelf juice and it was part of the reason I went the DIY route. I order my nicotine in 100% VG and only add enough PG to make it thin enough to get it in the clearos. I also like the big clouds of steam you get with the high VG levels so I'm not convinced steeping does much at this point but only having just over two months of being analog free I might change my opinion when/if more of my taste buds recover. I'm Vaping a Almond Amaretto Coffee this morning that is 100% VG and I just mixed it two days ago the only down side if it is a down side is I have to use a syringe to get it in the clearo without flooding the center tube, it tastes wonderful to me so until I'm a little further into this I have to stand by my original assessment.

I buy fresh made juices and they definitely improve with steeping. I always try to order far enough in advance to allow a minimum of 1 week steep time before use. I have had juices that had almost no flavor right out of the mailbox that blossomed and tasted great after a week or 2. I also remove the nipple from the bottle and let it steep open for about 24 hours, cap it and shake. I shake them each day during the steeping process.

I never bought into the steeping either. My liquids always taste different. I think it is more of a taste than a steep.

I let mine sit over night. I get tired of shaking.
