I just keep them in the basket with the rest of my flavors and every so often give them a good shake. There are a lot of ways you can steep them but this works best for me because I don't really have a good place to keep them with the tops off. I usually taste them when they show up in the mail (I'm inpatient!) and then every few days until I think they're ready.

i ordered 150$ worth of jooooses from mtbakervapour, i got a little bit carried away haha. theyre usually good to go from them, but i do steep them.
first i boil some water in a pan, and let it cool for 5 minutes or so, and put my bottles in them untill the water in the pan cools down. then give them a good shake (until arm is numb) then dry them off. put them in my dark cupboard of juices without the lid. every morning before i leave the house, shake them hard ( lid on, for obvious reasons). then put them back into the cupboard.

should be better after 5 days. but i do usually just leave the cap off even after that period, just in case ;)

Hey Maggiebb,
I would suggest the crock pot approach. Add water to your crock pot and set to low. Put your juice bottles in a zip lock bag and seal completely. Put the bag in the crock pot and let steep for a few hours. Occasionally during this process I will take them out and open them up to get fresh air in - close and shake, then put back in bag and back in water. This process has worked well for me.

Steeping is a sealed bottle sitting for awhile in a place away from sunlight. It allows entropy to happen. (Fully mix)

Airing-Out, or Breathe, is an open bottle sitting for awhile away from sunlight. It allows some alcohol and more volatile flavoring notes to evaporate. It can also allow nicotine to start oxidizing which lends a bitter note to the flavor.

Two different things that can do two different things to the flavor of juice. Steeping can many times not do a darn thing to the flavor of juice.

Also it isn't a great idea to get the LDPE or HDPE bottles above 120 degrees, so if you want a hot water bath then most hot water taps in the US will supply water that is hot enough. There is no need for stoves or microwaves.

I, too, just got a few samples in (2 for me, 2 for my wife) and naturally the ones that are for me say that they should be steeped. Thanks for the info on this! I'm still in the process of looking for juices I like, so the wait isn't going to be bad. It will just give me some time to try other blends.

I have my first order coming later this week so -

Juice are they good to go after a few hours or do you still need to shake them up for a few days after?

It's all subjective.

There's no debating the chemical reactions that take place, but that does not speak to any juices' vapability at X days or whatever.

In the beginning, I would rest them in hot tap water for an hour or so - shake them - then soak them again. But the labels came off so I stopped doing that.

Now that I've got a decent collection of juice, I just let them sit while I'm not using them and give them a shake if I think to.

Hi guys!

So I just put in my first order to mtbakervapor (green apple, lemonade, pear, strawberry, and sour yum) and I'm curious about steeping. How do you steep e juice? Hot water? Cap off in the dark? How long do I let them steep? I'm just so darn excited!! Any advice is appreciated!

I just got my order in too!! really excited, but now I gotta wait for it to steep.

I just got a 30ml of MBV strawberry with 2 flavor shots 65/35 at 12mg nic. I tried some the day I got it, 11/22/13, and there was just a hint of strawberry, I stuck it in my underwear drawer until yesterday when it's flavor came alive! It tastes great after 8 days steeping. I only wonder if my sexy boxer briefs had something to do with it...

the consensus is on the 1st day that you shake the hell out of the bottle, take the cap and the dripper tip off the bottle and let it sit in a dark room temperature place for 24 hours. 24 hours later you shake the hell out of the bottle again and replace the tip. You then leave the bottle in the dark place for at least a week and once a day you shake the bottle and air it out.

Yup- same here - had to buy another box for all the holiday treats Santa is bringing early! My go-to of late has been MBV and for the most part juices have been good right out the gate, but definitely after a few days of bottle- turning oooo! Yum! I like having quite a few on hand to consistently 'rotate the stock'. Also an added plus is revisiting a flavor That I initially thought 'eh' has transformed into 'yum' - since no two taste-buds alike, trial and error normal but, for me, FuN!
