Sour yum is the bomb. Great in iclear 30. White out is like crack for me, cant put that down. Zebra stripe gum was a pleasent free sample. Havent tried the hawk juice since the first couple days after i got it. That should be good now a few weeks later. The strawberry smelled better than it tasted. Teaberry seems nice too. Got some butter pecan pie i havent tried yet.

I haven't steeped any liquids yet, should I? My Tribeca, Cinnabon and Virginia Peach all taste great.

So something tastes great and you want to do something different with it that may impact the flavor? I wouldn't change anything if it tastes great. Maybe if it was just "OK" and thought it could be better...

Shoot...wish I would've known about steeping before...maybe that strawberries and cream would've stopped tasting like skunk :/

Maybe, but probably not. Steeping isn't a magic spell that instills wondrous properties.

My great idea for an eliquid shaking cheat
1. go to Walmart paint department
2. buy a quart of cheap house paint
3. paint something whether it needs it or not (do not pour paint down drain - that would be irresponsible)
4. clean inside of can very well
5. put plastic bottles of eliquid inside can and pack well with anything to secure them so the do not rattle around in can with lid on.
6. go back to Walmart and tell the paint counter person you bought this can of paint several months ago and could they please shake it for you.
7. act like you are ocd and ask them to shake it again

Voila!! power shaken ejuice

I have my first order coming later this week so -

Juice are they good to go after a few hours or do you still need to shake them up for a few days after?

They will definitely be better than not steeping with this method, but the longer you can let them sit the better. BUT, you should be able to taste your juice better after this process.

Or just put them in a bag and strap them to a palm sander.

For my last mail order batch I first gave them a really good shake, then placed the bottles in a zip lock bag (then sucked the air out; the bag keeps the labels dry) and put the bag/bottles in the wife's jewelry cleaner for about a half hour. After that I put the bottles on a shelf in the den with the caps and dripper tips removed. Next morning put them together and another good shake and reopened them for another day.

Seems like a lot of work and I can't say which part of taht made any difference but the taste change was very noticeable from when they were first received in the mail.

Hey Maggiebb,
I would suggest the crock pot approach. Add water to your crock pot and set to low. Put your juice bottles in a zip lock bag and seal completely. Put the bag in the crock pot and let steep for a few hours. Occasionally during this process I will take them out and open them up to get fresh air in - close and shake, then put back in bag and back in water. This process has worked well for me.

I'm going to try this!

I vape mostly tobacco flavors, some of which are NET. (naturally extracted tobacco) and mostly RY4's. There's a dramatic change in tobacco juices after steeping some of which need 3-4 weeks. That being said a lot of fruit and bakery type juices are pretty decent in a few days.

As far as how to steep, I wouldn't put them in water nor would I nuke them. I let my juice sit for 2-3 days with the caps off and then stick them in a cigar box for 10 days shaking them daily. I can usually tell by smelling them how they're coming around but I don't rush it.

When I first started vaping I went to the local B&M and bought a few bottles while I waited for my online purchases to steep. Most B&M shops, at least around me, only sell pre-packaged juice so it's been sitting on the shelves for quite awhile.

Be patient, you'll get the hang of it.

I also like Hoosier's posting on page one. I guess if steeping works for ya'll, then by all means keep on doin' it. I have yet to have spare juice I can let steep. I have quite a few flavors on order which are taking the longest route to my mailbox. The post office folks must be doing the steeping for me.

Is it just me, or does vape mail take longer to arrive then normal mail?

It's not just you.

I find that if you want some bizarre journey paths, then vape mail is the source of some of the oddest....

I had one that came from he EU into US via NY. Then went to Florida followed by a trip to Indianapolis. (I'm thinking great, it will just make a trip 50 miles north and I'll have it soon at this point...) It then went to Denver and nearly made it to Texas before coming back to Indianapolis and to my mail.

I've seen packages take some weird routes before, but those seem fairly straight compared to some that vape mail can take.

I don't mean to offend anyone .......... but ..... IMHO, in the case of "store bought" or "internet ordered" juice, steeping is a bunch of hoowie invented by people who want to believe that they are affecting the taste or quality of a product. That bottle of juice has been made at least a few days ago and been jiggled around in the mail for a few days .... a little bit more storage/shaking one way or the other isn't going to make any difference.

As far as "airing out" your juice .... I may believe that you may evaporate some of the alcohol (if it was used in the juice mixture) ... but you may also lose some of the flavoring too, so you may be doing more harm than good.

The DIYer juice mixers out there may have some validity to the steeping/airing out claimes, but I think for store bought stuff all of the "improvement is purley phsycosamatic.

Every since I got the ultrasonic cleaner I haven't had to worry about steeping. It's pretty handy. Cleans tank parts, jewelry and I can get a good steep in six minutes. I know this for sure now. I went to a B&M that mixes to order and got their "Real Cig" flavor which tastes like toasted tobacco. I let it steep for two-weeks with a daily shaking then went back and got two more fresh mixes of the same flavor. Put one of the new purchases in the ultrasonic for six minutes. Then, compared the three. The only one that tasted (and appeared) off was the one I didn't steep. The one that steeped and the one from the ultrasonic were the same in appearance and flavor.

For clarification: I use warm water in the ultrasonic but not so much that it makes my bottles float. The liquid gets warmed up from the water and the cleaner also produces heat from the bottom. The cleaner has a basket so my bottles aren't sitting directly on the bottom surface of the cleaner as it can get down right hot. I let the liquid cool back down to room temperature after the six minute cycle.
