Thank you, appreciate your help....Stupid question, what are the bands for? I have seen them but don't see any pics with them on to know what they are for
Bumpers. The protect the glass from impact. They're also useful to seal the airholes when filling. Some top fill tanks like to puke juice past the wicks when you screw the lid down tight.

@2Irish4u Hi and welcome to ECF. The Kanger Topbox Mini is a good kit. I have its previous version, Subox Mini Kit and it helped me quit cigarettes. Glad to have you here, and I hope you have a great time experiencing all the good stuff vaping has to offer!

@suprtrkr HI! It's been a while :thumb:

Ok before I order this Top box mini kit...I never asked is it really better then the eleaf istick ?(I think that's what it's called) some girl recommend it but they told me at the store is outdated technology and to get the top box mini
Definitely better, as in more powerful and more capable and newer technology. Further, the iStick are aimed at the low-end market-- that's why they're cheaper-- but the do not last as long. The Topbox is a good piece of gear; not elaborate, not super top of the line, but good gear. Even if you move on later, it will serve as a useful backup.

Great! Thank you, that makes me feel better :)

Hello all, I am new to this site and to vaping as a whole. I recently made the switch from a pack a day to a vaporizer, I love vaping!. I never knew I would like it so much. I started with an e cig, bought an upgraded e cig kit, still wanted more so I went to my local vape store and they had me but an Innokin starter kit. About a day after using that p.o.s. I was tired of it and still wanted more clouds and better satisfaction. Went back to the same store and they hooked me up with a Kanger 1650 battery and Aspire bvc tanks. This is what I am currently using and once again it's not performing like I want. I guess everyone goes thru this when they start but after 3 weeks of constant frustration, I want to purchase my last and final kit. They recommended a Kanger Top box mini and before I spend the 130 bucks (in their store) I want to see what more experienced vapors think of the kit. I know nothing, it took me a week to figure out I wasn't inhaling hard enough on the last one so I wanted to get some direction. Is this a good kit for an ex smoker looking for satisfaction ? What is the difference between this and the top box nano? Thanks so much for anyone who can help me.
I would look at 100% VG liquids... If it's vapor production you want.
...Just a thought.

Next question, the sub box mini and the top box mini, am I understanding the difference correctly?, I believe the sub box goes up to 60w whereas the top box mini goes up to 75w. Then there's the kbox mini too? Am I getting this right?
The Top Box is the new version of Subox. I believe apart the mod, the tank is still the same. The Subox mod is only a max 50 watt device, whereas the Top Box is 75 watt device capable of temperature control.

The tank supplied in these kits are called the Subtank Mini. As I said, I believe the tank has not changed in the new version. The mod device is known as the KBox Mini, in both kits. Regrettably they did not change the name, even though they are completely different.

The Tank that comes with the Top Box Mini Kit is Kanger's last incarnation of the Subtank Mini Tank. Which they are calling the "Toptank Mini".

Kanger TOPTANK-MINI clearomizer

And it is a Top Fillable Tank. ie: The "Top" in the name.

Oh that's right, I forgot about it. Is the rest of it still the same?

Edit: Well from the pics it seems like the coil head and/or RBA deck may be bigger.

AFAIK, the Top Fill is the only change that they made.

Is there anything different about a top fill tank besides the obvious? I get that you fill it from the top but why do they make top and bottom fill is one better or function better then the other?

Like I said, AFAIK the Top Fill was the Only Change. And the Performance should be Identical to the Original Design. But I don't have one of these Toptanks, so I'm just going by what I have seen and read.

Top Fill is Nice. And it Is more Convenient. But it Isn't a Deal Breaker (to Me) if a Tank doesn't have it

Just to clarify again, I was incorrect in saying the Top Box Mini's tank is unchanged. The new version has top fill.

Top fill is much more convenient. The alternative would be to turn the tank upside down, carefully undo the bottom deck and fill juice from the bottom. Whilst it's a process made easy with the Subtank, on other tanks the bottom fill method can be a PITA.
