Fantastic, I saved your links above so is that it? This is all I will need...finally I am able to start understanding lol thank youwith the kanger topbox kit, i would recommend two samsung 30q batteries and a nitecore d2 charger (external charging is a safer/ more reliable option than onboard charging) - my preferred battery vendor is illumn.com... the samsung 30q is a 3000mah battery (long life) and plenty of amps for that device

What is an RBA section?
Wow, thank you that simplified everything for me. I am not getting into building anything until I know what the hell I am doing but at least down the road I know about it. Everyone on here has been super helpful and I appreciate you breaking everything down, I can see how this can be overwhelming. I never thought I would like it so much to even be here but I do so I am excited to see what a real device can do, this pen style devices just aren't cutting it for me. I went with the top box mini off a recommendation from a girl who had the same issues. She actually recommended the Eleaf.istick something like that but when I went into the store they said it was outdated technology. I liked her little setup and found this top box mini to look like the same size.It might seem intimidating at first, but the topbox kit is actually a solid beginner setup. It's more advanced than a basic e-go style, but not so advanced that you really need to worry about a bunch of more advanced topics. So, let me see if I can help you out.
4a. If I'm not mistaken, Kanger provides a little red card with all of their tanks that function as a wattage guideline. You figure out which coil is in the tank (printed on the side of the coil), and the vg percentage of your juice (printed somewhere on the bottle) and it will give you the wattage range you can operate at. If you can't find the card you received with the kit, I'm sure you can find an image online somewhere.
- With any new Kanger coils, you typically want to do two or three drops into the opening. It gets the coils started soaking and speeds the process up a bit. Additionally, you should also do a drop or two on the openings on either side of the coil. Again, it just gets the cotton wet faster. Small warning, you don't want to do too much more than that, as you might get some spitback (juice getting in your mouth) but those five or so drops are fine.
- As far as I know, there aren't any dangers to you or the equipment that you really need to worry about. If someone knows otherwise, please do correct me. The only thing I can really say is not to vape too hot too often. If you're taking two or three hits at 50W every minute, the coils are going to burn out pretty quick.
- The two OCC atomizers are premade by Kanger. You just screw them into the base when one burns out or you change flavors. The RBA is a more advanced coil that you build yourself with the cotton and some wire. I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you. When you get more comfortable with vaping, it'll give you a bit more control over your rig.
4b. If you follow the steps from the first point, you should only need to let it sit for a minute or two tops. I've heard that if you take a few drags from the tank without firing it (just inhaling through the tank) it helps speed the absorption up a bit. When you do fire it up, start on a slightly lower wattage than normal, then gradually bring it up.
4c. The wattage you vape at is up to you. You should be able to figure out how high is too high, as your throat will start feeling pretty uncomfortable. Most people I know do hits between 20-30W, saving the higher wattages for when they want a big cloud.
4d. When you unscrew the base, there will be small pipe in the middle of the tank. This leads to the mouthpiece, you don't want to get juice in there. Otherwise, you can fill it up till you get to that hole.
I don't think I have any good links, but if you search youtube for a bit, you should find some useful videos, including how to use the RBA when you're a bit more comfortable. If I missed anything, let me know and I'll be happy to answer them as best I can.
Thank you, visual is very helpful, never seen the inside of any before so thank you for taking the time to post that.I'm sorry.
A RBA is an Acronym for Rebuild-able Atomizer.
Here is what it looks like.

With an RBA Section, you Build your Own Coils and then put a Cotton Wick in it.
Here is what it Looks like when it has a Coil and Cotton in it...

The Advantage of using an RBA is the Hit is Usually Better for Most People. Much Better for Many People. But it does take More Work. And a Little bit of a Learning Curve.
It is Also Cheaper in the Long Run to use the RBA Section verses buying Pre-Made Coil Heads.
The Mini comes with an RBA Section. I don't think the Nano has or can use an RBA Section.

It may seem intimidating at first to try and understand the rba section. The truth about it is on the Kanger Subtank Mini it is really easy to learn on, and easy to build. It's not something you have to worry about when you will use/have factory coils. You tube has many videos on "Subtank Mini rba" where you can watch and learn how to do it. It's all I use for my half dozen Subtanks as it's very cheap to do (I got tired of buying coils).Thank you, visual is very helpful, never seen the inside of any before so thank you for taking the time to post that.
I see the words sub ohm mentioned a lot what does this mean? You all have given me recommendations on the batteries but when I go to check out on this one website it's asking me what size, there are so many to choose, how do I know what size is right? I don't understated why so many options with the batteries.

Oh! I didn't make the connection with the coils and clouds...ugh hopefully it comes with all if this all setup cause I don't want to screw anything up.Sub-ohm means that the coil resistance is less than one ohm. Generally, coil heads less than one ohm are run at higher power (typically draining the batteries more quickly) than higher-resistance coils. The Kanger Subtanks have lots of replaceable head options - typical are 0.5 ohm, 1.2 ohm, and 1.5 ohm. There are temperature-control coils made with Nickel. They are much lower resistance and can ONLY be used with a temperature-control setting on a device.
Some people like the lower resistance as it can lend itself to "bigger clouds".
Damn it, I closed the window, it was one of the links someone posted, I'll see if I can find it againIt may seem intimidating at first to try and understand the rba section. You want 18650 size batteries, my favorite is the LG HG2's, and Samsung 25r's "flat top".
Sub ohm is when the coil is under 1.0 ohm measured. With the factory 1.5 or .5 ohm coils you don't have much to worry as long as you get a 20 amp battery. Which site are you looking at?

You're really going to like the mod. The D2 (or D4) are by Nitecore (good brand). the 2 or 4 on the description is how many batteries they can charge at one time, the D is for digital. (D2 = 2 bays, D4 = 4 bays).

Relax, you're doing great. You can get it all in one place or go to a battery business www.liionwholesale.com (Pennsylvania) or www.illumin.com (California) where you can save some money. After you've been vaping a while you'll learn all the shortcuts and lingo.![]()
