Just picked up a ruleaux 2/3 yesterday evening. Previously owned a tc 100 . I was using the rebuild able de k on the tfv8 @100 watts on the tc100 with some pre built tiger coils from demon killer. While it was a good vape the ramp up was a killer and seemed a bit flat on flavor. Popped the same build on my ruleaux after charging batteries amd started at 100 watts, huge difference. Full flavor not hot at all. Leads me to believe the tc 100 at 100 watts wasn't a true 100 which makes sense to me as it's the very limit of the mods capabilities. Anyway lol, just can't believe how nice it is to fiddle in wattage mode and really taste the difference in flavor of the same juice at different wattage. Only In dual cell mode but with the build I have on seems like 145 watts is the threshold limit for a comfortable tasty vape with my particular build at the moment. Super happy I decided to take the leap to a high wattage mod. Gonna get a set of 3 batteries to run in 3 cell mode and try out a beefier build soon. Oh lord ... from quitting smoking to buying up the whole vape shop lol , I'm in trouble.

I'm super excited about it. Of course my personality type dictates that a month from now I will be trying to attach an atomizer to a jet engine or something lol. No I imagine that after the upgrade and available 250 watts in 3 cell mode will be way more than I ever need, but nice to know it's there as I do love the clouds in my own private space at home. Such a joyful thing to have such a customized vape experience!

Depending on which set up I go with 2 or 3 cell mode . I run two 40 amp batts. With max wattage in 2 cell at 150. After I up grade I think 160 or so. Then in 3 cell mode 3 -40 amp batts. With maximum wattage after upgrade being 250. So should be okay. Nice thing about this unit also is that when using a rebuildable, depending on resistance this mod won't let you go above the safe wattage for the build you have. Kinda neat. I've read up on the battery gig as I do not want to be the next guy to blow his face up ! That being said any information is always helpful , especially to a newbie, so thank you.

There are no true 40 amp cells. There are no cells with an amp rating higher than 20 with more than 3000 mAh, at 25 amps you can get about 2500 mAh, and at 30 amps - the highest available - you're stuck at about 1500 mAh. Buy authentic cells by LG, Sony, or Samsung. Most others are rewrapped cells with ridiculously exaggerated specs. Check out Mooch's battery tests in the batteries subforum.

Just make sure when you are Evaluating a Battery's Amp Rating that you are looking at its Constant Discharge Rate (CDR).

Some Battery Sellers will say that a Battery is Rated at 40 Amps. But that is a "Pulse" Rating. And who knows how long the Pulse is?

.1 Seconds?
.25 Seconds?
.5 Seconds?
1 Second?

Lol wow. Well that's nice to know. Looks like I got some bogus batteries. I mean they work just fine but I imagine they are exaggerated . Oh well next pay day will get a set of good ones. Kind of frustrating the vape shops sell junk batteries.

Not sure if you are in the USA?

But this company has a Very Good Reputation for Selling Authentic Brands and Good Prices/Shipping.
