Stepping up from Ego...

Tried asking this in another thread with no response...sorry for reposting

So I'm thinking of getting an Icon but I'd like to know if there's any real difference between it and my current Ego. Both are 3.7v devices, correct? I know the icon itself is worlds apart in build quality, but as far as vaping experience are they the same? I'd like a bit more power, but I really don't like LR attys...way too hot.

Any other suggestions on another stanless steel or aluminum pv? Possibly something that would do 5v?

Go for the BUZZ, or any other type of variable voltage PV if you like to have options, that is definately the way to go

You should notice some difference between an Ego and a true 3.7v mod. The Ego actually only puts out around 3.1-3.2v under load so you should see slightly more vapor at 3.7. I would suggest getting something that is adjustable voltage or a 3.7v device that can also do 6v with a swap of the batteries.

Of course, getting those 0.5v more also means a different taste, more like with an LR attie. Not everybody is particularly fond of that.

I think a solar powered, variable voltage, self feeding, multi flavored unit would be nice

If you wanna try 5V, I suggest a box mod. They are a cheap way to find out if you will enjoy vaping at 5volts. I only say this because it seems most custom, store bought mods are really expensive. I have a RIVA and still vape it daily but my 5V mods provide more vapor and a stronger throat hit.

Most days my RIVA does me just fine, But every once in awhile I like the kick I get with my 5V mods.

I love my 3.7 Provape and will be one of the first in line when they put the ProVari out there. Yes I can tell the difference with the extra .2 or .3 volts with a true 3.7 MOD using LR atty's versus the eGo batts.

I have a 5v PT and like it...not nearly as hot as the LR attys. Maybe I should just look in that direction. Thanks for the ideas guys...especially the database link. I'll keep lookin...
