Hello all, been a lurker for a week or so reading and absorbing some of the great info posted here. I recently jumped on the vaping train and got me a T-Rex from Vapors kitchen up here in Canada, liking it lots too!

So I've been a smoker for 34 years and at last count I was up to 35 or so el' cheapo no-name native bagged rollies a day...today in my ashtray there are only 6 butts  Yesterdays count was 4 but I've been having a bit of a bad day today as I chip away at finding my way with the T-Rex and the small collection of "stuff" I've purchased. I've never tried to quit smoking, matter of fact I've never wanted to quit because there are things that I do like about the habit, an example would be that hello world wake up call you get with the days first good dose of nicotine and caffeine. Anyway getting a nicotine fix via a PV works for me in many ways and if it does less damage to me and those around me vs combustible tobacco products well why wouldn't I make the switch? Having so many flavors to choose from too really will be the icing on my nicotine cake...once my taste buds start functioning again that is. Nothing I've put in my mouth has had any flavor for a long time it seems

Welcome to ecf I'm new here too! This place is also awesome I've been lurking for a few weeks now and have learned so much and saved myself a good deal of $ by choosing the right product the first time instead of wasting $ on garbage pv's..thanks ecf members! I'll get more into my story in my own thread so I don't jack this one.....plus I gotta get to my 5 posts so I can be free!

Oh well thats not good news now is it...I just get a T-Rex and now find out it's discontinued

To be honest my T-Rex functions fine in that I have no battery issues but I do seem to struggle with keeping enough juice flowing into the atomizer so as to not have to top up the cartridge or drip every few puffs. I got a couple 501 cartomizers from a local vender the other day just to try, I burnt the first one. The first one started out great but I let it get too low on juice and ruined it...I confirmed this by cutting it apart and seeing for myself how the filler material was scorched. I have not filled the 2nd cartomizer yet, figured 5 full cartridges would get me through the day while I was out and about.

Maybe I should have spent the extra 10 and got an eGo T....live and learn

LOL... ahhh, the perils that the new vaper must face. Perhaps if the T-rex really is discontinued you can upgrade to the eGo-T next go-around. :)

Well, good luck to you, you'll get the hang of it.

Seems to be a few doesn't there...lol

So is it normal when using standard 510 type cartridges that you take a few puffs and then have to set your PV down and wait for some juice to wick into the atomizer so you can puff some more?

ZERO analogs yesterday and so far zero today

Dripping is the key to the required morning nicotine fix and in turn the morning fix for me is the key to successfully leaving analogs behind.

I might add that dripping while out and about is a royal pain tho, got to figure out something that delivers that freshly dripped hit without the drip! Does that make any sense?? ...lol

I started dripping when i got my prodigy, you get a technique down. I can do it while driving, while walking. It is all about the wrist. Next achievement will be dripping while biking....

That seems like such an understatement now Rosa....grrrrrr....equipment QC, mis-leading vendors, learning about everything etc etc.

I'm very frustrated and have fallen off the wagon...3 analog butts are in my ashtray as I wait for my single functioning battery to charge :(

No lie, I can't stand carts... what a hassle when it's no more work to just drip. BUT: you said,

"I might add that dripping while out and about is a royal pain tho, got to figure out something that delivers that freshly dripped hit without the drip! Does that make any sense?? ...lol"

Well, you may just be in luck! T-rex batteries are compatible with eGo parts. All you need is the eGo-T atomizer and some eGo-T tanks and for about $20 you'll be good to go:

Electronic Cigarette - Atomizers & Cones - Joye eGo - T
Electronic Cigarette - Cartridges - Joye eGo - T

These parts on your batteries make your e-cig a dripping machine (see review):
YouTube - eGo-T Tank System Review

ps: what do you mean "single functioning battery"?
