Stickers on Cartos

Are all cartos wrapped with the contact paper like stuff, or does someone make cartos that are painted? I'm being OCD and I want cartos that match my shiny black batteries.

Or does anyone sell a matte black Xl auto battery?

I had some white atomizers I wanted flat black so I painted them.

I know I said "atomizers" in the first sentence, but I don't see why you couldn't paint cartomizers, too.

On my atomizers I had to scrape off the old paint (the sharp edge of a credit card worked just fine and didn't scratch the metal), but a cartomizer just might be wrapped in some kind of colored contact paper and should be bare metal when removed.

If you try this, you might want to rough up the metal with some 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper then spray on some undercoat. I just happened to find flat black undercoat so there's no more painting required.

Turned out pretty good.
