Bug: Depending on your juice pg/vg and flavor, the resistance matters in some instances. However, if you are using the wattage setting on your MVP, then set it and forget it. Any coil you purchase will ride nicely in the pt2 and give you the same performance from your current juice. My evods and pt2s came with 2.2 coils. Since I liked how things were working, I reordered 2.2 coils. I've even rebuilt them to 2.1 - 2.2. I learned that in order to get better flavor in a particular vendor's juice, I should recoil to 1.2 to 1.5 ohms. I'll try that setup next. Some of the juices that I've accumulated like a lower voltage setting than others. I stick with voltage instead of wattage. For us senior types, there are way too many options!

Thank you. And I agree about the options. I grew up with strawberry, chocolate or vanilla? And now there are 31 Flavors!

I apologize to Buggainok for asking a question but I figured its better then opening my own thread.

I am 6 days into vaping and was wondering if you can put a 2.5ohm coil in a ego ? The ego does not have the twist bottom that changes the voltage. The evod that came with the ego has a 1.8ohm so I don't want to put a 2.5ohm in and screw something up.

Sure you can, but it won't perform as well. The sweet spot for wattage is 8 to 10 watts. The ego is probably 3.7 volts. So if you square 3.7 you get 13.69. With your 1.8 you get 7.6 watts (13.69 / 1.8) which is pretty close. With your 2.5 you get 5.5 watts, which is considerably below the best wattage.

I was just like you with my Evods and my egos. I was worried about screwing something up. My understanding is that it will not hurt the device, just that you may not get the best flavor and vapor with that combination, as you would with the lower, 1.8 coil. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. I did use those higher ohm coils in my Evods with my egos before I got the MVP 2.

Yes you can. It's safe.

Whether it tastes better or not depends on the liquid; either way, the battery voltage will drop off as you use the battery; this is why people use something that does regulation, to maintain a consistent vape.

I am going to try and find some literature to explain all this so I can step up to a better piece ! I just don't want to step up without understanding which button does what for why and when its needed lol

Thanks, much appreciated !
