I'm fairly new to the world of electronic cigarettes. I have the Envy Nirvana system with cartos (I have 3 of the batts to help me through the day). I still have about 5-10 tobacco cigs a day because the batts still die out relatively quickly. That being said, I'm seriously looking at the Envy ego tank system, but I have some questions. Is the flavor of the regular liquid similar or the same as the cartos? Are they reliable? What parts do I absolutely need? Is it compatible with other parts? Does it leak? Can I use pretty much any e-liquid with it? Thanks for any input.

EGo batteries do eventually need replacing.
Should last a long time though. They also tend to last on a full charge about a day or so depending on you vaping style.
Ego style fits 510 threaded and eGo threaded accessories.
Can use any juice really. Depends on whether you use cartos or what not and whether you're willingly to be patient and learn how to use thicker juices with cartos.
I recommend CE4+ or Stardusts (from GotVapes).
All juice tastes different. Just choose one that you like, or try many different sample size bottles to find ones you like. Good luck!

Hi and welcome to the forums! I'm not familiar with the Envy products and therefore don't know what model ego system they sell, but the ego style PV is one of the most commonly reproduced and rebranded systems out there. Typically, the Joye eGo is regulated at 3.4v (providing cooler vapor) and has a 650mAh battery. One of the more popular ego systems out there is the kgo system as it is a true 3.7v device (warmer vapor production) and around an 1100 mAh battery. The mAh rating for batteries is important because typically 100 mAh provides enough power for 1 hour of vaping depending on how heavy of a vaper you are, YMMV.

As I'm mainly a cartomizer person I can't really comment on the performance of tank systems, but ego devices have the very common 510 threading allowing you to experiment with different tanks, cartomizers and atomizers without having to purchase all new systems.

The same juices are used in all different types of devices, but the flavor and vapor production may vary a bit. Some of the thicker juices may not wick properly in some cartos while some thinner ones can leak in a tank. Flavor of all the different juices is extremely subjective and can vary greatly from person to person. Finding a juice that satisfies you is the biggest and often times the most exciting part of the vaping experience. Hope that helps a bit.

Hi and Welcome!!

I dont want to deter you from getting what you want but I have found from here on the forum and videos I have watched that many people who start with the Ego tank setups quickly transition to using catos. You can use 510 cartos with the Ego battery and might suggest bypassing the tanks system and go straight to the cartos. You can get an Ego passthrough battery from Madvapes for $20 and 15 Boge LR 2.0 ohm cartos (includes a syringe to help fill and a drip tip) for $19.90 with free shipping. Then all you need is some E-juice which you can get from a lot of the vendors here on the forum or if you have some already your good to go. I use Boge cartos for the most part and they provide good flavor and performance as well as being very consistent.

In the end you might end up spending a few more bucks then getting the Envy kit for $49.95 but I think you will be much more satisfied and much happier.

Hope this helps and good luck :)

So I could buy carts or cartos later on for the ego tank system if I don't like using the tanks? How much do carts or cartos cost? The reason I'm leaning so much more towards the Envy system is becuase I get so much more for so much less vs. other systems, and I actually like the flavor of the regular cartos that I'm using. I am very interested in trying other flavors as well.

You can buy a regular PV and add on a tank system easily enough for $10- $15.00. In regards to a new PV as the poster above noted you want to look at the voltage and the mah of the battery. I use the tank system on my Don and the benefits are:
- less filling of juice- twice per day
- ease of filling
- cartomizers last longer, about 2+ weeks.

Good Luck.

I just pulled up their site and a couple of things I read sent up some red flags. They are one of the online resellers that claims a cartomizer is equal to a pack of cigarettes which has been proven false time and time again. Also, their claims of being the cheapest way to get refills is deceptive. The average cost for a 5 pack of blank kr808 cartomizers (the same type your system uses) is $7 and juices vary greatly in price, but even the most premium ones don't break the $10/10ml mark (envy charges $13). Refilling is simple and you can typically get a few to several refills per carto before they wear out which continues to drop the costs and there are some great juice vendors out there with much larger selections for much lower prices.

None of their descriptions point towards any unique features, or even mention any of the important specifications such as battery rating or type. In the end it looks like they are just another one of the online retailers making a profit off of the rising popularity of e-cigs and general public's lack of knowledge about them by selling repackaged standard equipment at normal prices hoping customers will come back and buy the overpriced refills from them. I'd recommend checking out some of the authorized vendors to get a more clear picture of what's available to you.
