I think I have it all in order and all my questions answered. I have decided to purchase low to medium level ejuice and also to invest in some 0 mg. The question is do you have a cartridge with 0 and then the one with the nic and switch them out? How does that work?

My lowest nic juice is 8mg. I do sometimes use it for chain vaping, but some days, it's not enough no matter how much I vape. Other days, I vape it for hours and am fine.

Generally though, I sit at 18mg to 12mg.

Tapering down is a good and achievable goal. But don't put too much pressure on yourself. Just do what works. Getting off the cigarettes is the really important part, and once you've done that, you've already got reason to be proud.

I think that I am wording my question wrong. Or perhaps what I am saying makes no sense. If I want to vape with nic and then the next time use the 0 mg how is that done? Do you carry two cartridges and switch them out in the ecig? Am I making any sense? Probably not.

That's one way to do it.
Another way to do it is to drip, so you can just switch flavors at will.

Of course, there will be a little mixing of one flavor with the other for a few drags.
Sometimes that's part of the fun though!

Yup, you can just switch carts. I believe they come with little end dealies to keep the juice in (I use cartos, so not 100% sure).

I think all of my liquids are 16 18 and 24 - the 24 seems really high to me but it came with the kit. I'm going to get some low and 0 mg liquids with my next order.
