Yes I am a new vapor, and I am loving it. I first bought a RN4081 N JOY ecig from the local gas station to quit smoking analogs. It worked, but I was craving more out of that device. So I read the forums and watched tons of video reviews. Ended up buying an ego c kit for myself, and got the wife a pink ego t kit. My wife loves her kit, and she couldn't be happier. Me on the other hand, I feel that this device is not exactly what I am looking for. The vape is too cool, and I keep on getting dry hits. I take really big hits, and I am in need of something so much more. I got a 5ml DCT from a friend, and put that on my ego batt, and found that it was 100% better then the regular ego c set up. I am just not feeling the looks, and the limitations. I am very technically inclined, so as far complicated devices, is not an issue. I have all of the necessary volt meters to test devices, and know a thing or two about electric devices. Just not PV's!! I am looking at a few VV models like the ProVari, BuzzPro, and SRV. I am also looking at a few other Mods that are not VV per-say but with the option of switching out different batts, I will have the option of different volt capabilities. Devices like the Helix, Silver Bullet, and the new Shockwave when it comes out. I am definitely the person that does think that I must have the best device out there to be happy, so I also considered getting one of those GG's, but just worried about spending over $200 on my first Mod. I know that this is probably the most asked ? on this forum from the newbies, but where else should I start getting advice on something, but from the Veterans. I have watched almost every review that GrimmGreen has to offer, and also Prsardo, and found some great info, but still undecided. If anyone out there has their input, I am all ears. I may not answer back right away, with having work and all of life events, but I will try. I would like to thank everyone up front, and hope to hear from you!!:vapor:

First off I would just like to say Welcome to the ECF!!!

I have been vaping for 3 years and have tried many PV's. I own a ProVari and absolutely love it, have had it for about 9 months now. If you were leaning towards a VV device and wanted to best bang for your buck, thats what I would go with. I have dropped the ProVari a dozen times on concrete (yeah I am clumsy) and it still looks brand new and works like the first day I got it. If you didnt want to spend that amount of money the Buzz Pro would be the next best thing in my opinion.

Hope this helps and if you have any more questions just post them here, there are a lot of knowledgeable people here that can help you.

Just another thing I want to add, I also have the Silver Bullet from when they first came out and only run it with a 3.7v battery. Stacking batteries, even protected batteries, I tend to stay away from just for safety purposes. The Buzz Pro and the SVR (which I have as well) do stack batteries but have over current protection and thermal protection to prevent a battery failure if one is about to occur. The Silver Bullet, Shockwave, and Helix do not have these added safety features.

Wow, I keep forgetting stuff haha. The SVR is a nice device, the only downfall in my opinion is that you only have the 3 settings to choose from. There are times when I am using it at the "middle" setting with a certain flavor and want a little more power but the "high" setting is too much and is making the juice taste burnt. You will find that certain flavors taste better at different voltages and with every flavor its a different voltage. Having the ability to fine tune the voltage is a big plus (at least for me) and thats where the Provari or the Buzz shine.

Thank you very much for your input. I have been watching and reading many different reviews on almost every mod out there, lol. I am really leaning toward the ProVari. I like alot of the safety features and the variable volt option. I am a total sucker for nice looking mods, and something that is going be just plain cool. I have a feeling that I will not be satisfied with one or two mods, and end up with many. I feel okay with that since I am saving over $80 a week on cigarettes now. Again, thank you, and love having an outlet to find info, and chat with others that have the same outlook on vaping.

I agree with Matt... provari or a buzz for a VV device. For a multi battery device I would say a Reo grand/mini, Silver bullet, Omega, GLV2, Saber Touch and a Helix. I own all these except for the Buzz pro and I love them all. IMO these are the best of the best but there's a ton of mods to choose from. Just do more research on what you want out of your mod....

Here's some more choices

Happy I could help out!!! You will definitely not be disappointed if you go with the Provari and it really is a great looking PV. Another thing I can assure you of is that it wont be your last mod :D and you will have many. I feel like we are a lot alike, my Provari is my go to device and have not been disappointed in it at all whatsoever, but I am still looking at mods to be all the time!! Its like a disease, I see , I want, I buy, and it never stops. And like you said, with the money your saving, why not treat yourself every once in a while with a nice PV you want, after all you deserve it!!

I wish you luck with everything and definitely keep me posted on what you get and how you like it
