Vaping on or going back to smoking? Still undecided.

As an ex-pipe-smoker I also like the fact that pipe cleaners are no longer in my life. The ones that used to come out of the pipe covered in black tar. The ones that would drop an indelible drip onto my shirt. I no longer have to buy so many shirts.

OMG me too. My entire apartment would smell like pipe tar. Absolutely terrible. I don't know how my non-smoking wife tolerated this. Amazing. I don't feel at all guilty for making the place smell like peaches & cream these days :vapor:

I know some people say aspire Atlantis with aspire cf sub ohm batteries is not for beginners, but if you feel like you are needing the nicotine hit, the powerful throat hit and the "cloud", I suggest this build. So easy to use. Put it on full airflow, and take lung hits with 24mg juices (starting point), something sweet and you may be pleasantly surprised. I smoked for 15 years, and this build has turned me from smoker to vaper overnight! Good luck! P.s - if you do try this out, make sure you get an ego style charger as the battery doesn't come with it, they are only a few bucks..

Quitting for your wife, when you love smoking, when the people you work with all day are chain smoking in front of you, all in a culture where smoking is still ok sounds incredible. I wish you luck. btw, your wife is a very lucky woman <333

Hi rhean,

It's not that difficult because I don't try to stay away from cigarettes. I now chain vape but if I need a quick, easy, reliable nicotine fix, I'll still light one up. No guilt :)

I don't know how lucky my wife is because I'm a real pain-in-the-... to live with. But she's worth trying to switch. Even after 20 years, she's still such a fox! And with brains too :)

Awww! No guilt over occasionally lighting up is a very good thing, and your wife does in fact sound very lucky :)

In the end, one has to want to quit cancer sticks. Anything after that is gravy. Once you have decided to quit and are willing to find the right setup, which in this day and age of vaping is out there, once you do that, then you can vape yourself into bliss. With things like the Istick 50, and the new subtanks, and the great ejuices out there, finding a satisfying "smoking" experience is easy, again, you have to want to stop smoking.

Hi everyone,

This is probably the last update.

It's been almost three months now since I started vaping. Still doing it... dragging my feet.

The real pleasure I got from smoking is just not present with vaping. For me, it has become a habit, a bland experience, for the sole purpose of getting my nicotine fix like a junkie. Nothing more. I go through the motions. Fill the tank, take a few puffs, refill, take a few more puffs, switch batteries, repeat. Sad.

All the while navigating through vendors all making such overrated claims about their products. Euphemism for blunt false advertising.

Thank you all for your contributions.

Take care.

David

I see where you are coming from, OP, But
I would suggest trying the push button method. You really find that you get used to it quite easily. Its not as bad as it sounds.

Rebuilding is fun... Not a task, I was the same way initially, but You can get a more real vape that way.
Seems like almost all your problems would be solved if you get the push button.
For me, nothing beats a nice Strawberry vape... not even a real Cuban.
