Coming up for 11 years in late October. I still use a stainless steel Vamo, and still vape menthol. It got a lot harder here in Australia when they banned nicotine juice but I stocked up well before the change and haven't yet had to deal with a doctor's certificate to obtain supplies.

I also have tons of raw materials - propylene glycol, pure nicotine, vegetable glycerine, flavouring - so apart from replacement elements and 18650 batteries (which are available direct from China anyhow) there's no real stress. I've also been taking supplements and fell pretty good for 70, certainly better than if I were still smoking.

No longer living on a yacht, I bought an old building in the country that used to be a Post Office and retired to a quiet life. Biggest issue now is boredom, actually.

Hope you guys are all succeeding in staying off the smokes, it's really worth the effort.

11 years. Super. I'm glad that you got stocked beforehand and that benefits you. I'm fairly well stocked up as well; basically just batteries, PG and VG are my only expenditures. It hasn't hit the fan here in the States quite as disastrously as it has in Australia, but I'm comfortable having the stash that I do. When I lived in Southern Maryland, I thought many times about living on a 35-40 ft. sailboat.

Been vaping since 2009 still at it 6mg about 4-5ml a day....lately been having health anxiety almost have quit caffeine thinking about trying to quit vaping but like it so.Had low dose lung screening in June of this year and everything was good no nodules are anything was definitely blessed to hear that.I'm 61 now smoked for 35 years till quit in 09 and vaping definitely much safer than cigs but still worries me how long I've been doing it need to lower nic I quess.I feel pretty good most days other than the anxiety that has creeped into my life last 2 years.Keep hearing from family how i need to quit nothing healthier than breathing fresh air but don't know if I can anyway thanks for listening been a long while since been on here, anybody else vaping as long as I have how are you doing?

Unless you have some cardiovascular health issue already, there's really no need to worry about nicotine. It's somewhat addictive but, otherwise, a basically harmless, mild stimulant. 4-5 ml of 6mg daily isn't a lot.

Our bodies are designed for pure air, of course. Common sense tell us that inhaling anything else will be less than ideal. Regardless, to date, no one has experienced any severe respiratory problems from commercial nicotine vaping. If you suffer any ill health effects from what you've inhaled, the culprit will almost certainly be your 35 years of smoking, not the vaping that helped you stop it.

I'm also coming up on 11 years since I made the switch. Have had a cig here and there but never more than that, and each time was disgusting. Honestly it's the best thing I've ever done for myself.

Only thing that worries me is what the hell the government might pull.

I hear you on the anxiety - it really sucks! It's been a huge problem since I stopped drinking, but I've got an appointment next week with a psychiatrist and my counsellor to hopefully try and find something that can help me move forward.. If I couldn't vape I think I'd go insane!

Heavy lung is often due to high vg juice. I was having the same problem and started using dw, distilled water, when I mixed in place of pg and it works well for me. If you don't mix just add 2-5 drops of dw to your tank and see if it helps. Don't use tap water.

I mainly vape killer kustard Vapetasia 70pg/30vg 6mg at 50 watts then naturally extracted tobacco 12mg 50/50 on mtl devices...you maybe right when vape extracted never have heavy lung, never mixed my own juice so your saying just add the dw drops to tank with liquid already in there?Thx for reply

Yes just to see if it helps, I would start with 3 drops dw in the 70vg custard tank. If that helps just a bit then add a drop or two of the dw until you find a sweet spot. Once you find what works you can just add the dw to the bottle of juice. Another thought is any custard based juice is likely high in daap which does negatively affect some vapers. Maybe look up a daap free custard juice.
