Just purchased a hcigar black copper stingray clone. The magnetic switch does not work. It is not discharging the battery. Disassembled the switch and reassembled the switch dozens of times. I tried different batteries. I read threads on the clone, the switch does not get stuck -- it does nothing. I tried a different switch and the mod fired. Tried different rda's and they fired with my nemy switch but not the stingray magnetic switch. If anybody could provide any helpful feedback I would be grateful. Thanks.

Is the atomizer making contact with the pin on the top cap? If so does the battery rattle in the mod when you shake it? Are you using the right tube configuration? Did you install the kick ring with out a kick?

Thanks for the suggestions. The floating pin seems a bit flimsy but the 18650 battery is tight in the tube. I fired it with a different bottom switch.

Is the contact in the switch making it past the insulator when you press it? Just sounds like the contact is not making contact with the battery.

This is the dilemma. The bottom switch is making contact with the battery. The switch is magnetic and the magnets appear to making contact. I disassembled everything and reassembled. The feedback I read was that the switch is sticky or crunchy but mine does not work at all. I was hoping that someone had encountered the same dilemma.

did you take the spring out of the bottom switch assembly? and are the magnets opposed? ( pushing apart from each other when installed)
and when the magnets are installed and the button is pushed, does the negative pin extend beyond the insulator ring in the bottom? ( you will need to take the bottom section off the tube to see this operate)...

Thanks for all the input -- most grateful. I posted a picture of the magnetic firing mechanism which does not have a spring (in the event that it should and I am not aware). Its a 6 pc assembly: bottom cap, brass thread ring, brass locking pin, two magnets and white insulator cap. I have disassembled and re-assembled for hrs adjusting every component, screwing it into the barrel and seeing if it will fire. For example, I loosened the bottom magnet, tightened, etc. Did the same for the top magnet on the insulator. Let me know if I am missing anything. Again, thanks for the input

some of my flat-top batts require putting the battery in with the positive end towards the switch - give it a shot - it cant hurt
.

Gratefulbuddy you rock !!!! I tried the battery with the positive towards the bottom firing pin and she fired right up. That was the solution. Today its me that is very grateful. Thank you very much.

Now turn the battery back over.
Trim the Wrap back some on the battery Negative. It is sitting on the contact. Plastic will not conduct current.:)
This will not effect the Battery. Panasonic CGR18650's have no wrap on the bottom to get in the way.

Excellent crxess, that is the root cause of the problem and now I have a solution. Many thanks for you input.
