We'll still be able to individually get supplies from suppliers overseas right? I can't imagine the FDA can regulate that many packages separately. Only the big shipments.

All the FDA has to do is flag the dozen or so Chinese Suppliers, and everything from those suppliers will get tossed into a separate area for inspection. If it takes them weeks to get to your package it will. They're in no hurry. What can you do about it? Sue them?

I've been stocking for months now. I have 5 different brands of e-cigs, hundreds of atomizers, and cartridges. I'm collecting information to build my own cheap battery and power supplies. I have enough juice for about 2 years, and still stocking. If a ban or outrageous tax comes along, I'll surly find an underground supplier before I run out.

The FDA can kiss my fat hairy .....

Jim......Seems out stockpiles are very close in size...with the exception I may have to cut my 36mg down to last 2 years.battery mods are relativly inexpensive to make, atomizers are another animal altogether..I would suggest(as I have been doing for months now)that those viewing this thread stock up on atty's while supplies last, once thier gone batteries won't do anyone much good! Seems like the unimaginable is at our doorstep now!I feel for the suppliers!:(The Wiz!

Howdy Wiz!!!!

I agree. When I look at my attys in their over sized containers, a tear comes to my eye:wub: I also suggest to save all old parts. I'll cut my old battery cases with a tubing cutter to save the threaded end to fit the attys when I atttach them to a home made battery case. Old attys are good to experiment with miniature industrial heat element replacements.

Juice?? I vape 18mg right now. All my juice is 36 & 48mg. I cut it with VG and double or triple the outcome.

I call it "Surviving"

Cheers;

To be clear. They aren't talking about banning the device itself, yes? Just the liquid? After all. The device can ship dry. It's just electronics at that point.

The answer is no one knows. If there is a ban, the most reasonable approach would be to ban liquid containing nicotine and leave the devices alone since they can be used with no-nic solutions.

However, the government can pretty much do whatever it wants to do. There may be some excellent legal arguments as to why the government lacks the authority to ban devices, but, again, the government can still do what it wants to do . . . and then it's up to us to fight them in court.

What is going to make me feel worse . . . (1) if I buy a ton of atomizers/juice and no ban comes along, or (2) I don't stock up, the ban comes, and I have a great deal of difficulty (and expense) getting stuff?

To me, that's pretty easy. If I stock up and no ban happens, well, I've basically prepaid for my vaping supplies for the next couple of years. :)

Here are steps that I have planned to make in the event of a ban.

I don't intend on going back to analogs, ever. Don't enjoy the smell of them at all now.

I'm also pretty comfortable believing that most of my habit is oral.

I agree 1000% dedmon. I didn't come all this way farting around with juice, shipments, batteries, blowing out attys, diy cart filler hell to ever go back to analogs. I'd be a fool to think I didn't have 99% of the battle to quit smoking forever licked. I'm on like day 45 or so with no analogs.

My plan of action is to buy no more juice, until I have assurances that it is not crap in a bottle. My pharmacist sold me some USP PG and I can do the hand to mouth action with that when I feel the need.

My inline battery passthru seems to have bit the dust, or the new deal extreme batteries are duds. I'll have to find out how to remove the battery from the circuit mod and keep it going.

As I've said before, I never intended to make a career out of vaping. don't get me wrong I have a love/hate relationship with the thing, but I'm more into being free from any apparatus.

the ecig has afforded me that luxury and the rest will be up to me.

I don't think any of us can expect this to go on forever financially or legally, without a lot of research and funding. Besides I'm still an addict. Just a different method.

Not quite;

The FDA want's to classify the e-cig as a "Drug Delivery Device" They're gonna tax it however they can. It's all about the money.

I too was very concerned about these getting banned while the FDA is sorting this mess out. So here is what I have found:
Atomizers should last about 1 month
Batteries should last 3 months
Liquid for a strong vaper should be 2-3 mils per day

So here is what I bought: This is al for the 510
12 Manual Batteries: Should last 3 years
24 Atomizers: Should last at least 2 years
250 901 cartridges (empty)
Juice: 6 bottles of 48mg 30 mil unflavored nic juice for mixing
1 pint vegetable glycerine for mixing
48 1 dram bottles of lorann flavorings for mixing
I also have a little over 200 mils of various flavored smoke juice.

Also keep in mind that I am using the new atomizers for the 510. These are slightly larger than the original atomizers and I have been using cartridges for a 901 to fix the problem of the cartridges for the 510 being too loose. These atomizers are said to last 3x longer than the older style. I have only got a couple of weeks testing these so I don't know yet if they actually last 3x longer.

Rough Estimate

Atomizer - figure 2-3 weeks (at optimal performance)
Battery - figure 2-3 weeks (this may be a liberal estimate)
Liquid - figure 2ml liquid a day (on average)

If you do the math you can get a general idea of what you'll need.

Batteries are not as imperative if you have a mod or a couple of passthroughs.
Carts can be reused and high nic liquid can be cut down to last longer.

None of this information is set in stone, everyone vapes differently and some products may last longer than 2 weeks, while others might be problematic after a week.

How can you say a battery will last 2-3 weeks? Ive noticed no decline in power, charging time, performence in 5 months..

Im on the same Atomizer for 5 months now, with only blowing out excess juice once in a while. Still get clouds of vapor and no burnt taste.

You can recharge most ecig batteries 300+ times before they die. So 1 510 battery + a PCC should last 3 months.. recharging the same battery over and over again ( 4 times a day).

Your equipment is probably lasting a long time because you use your e-cig as it was intended to be used. I'm having no problems either. Some people are over using, and abusing them, and then wonder why they burn them up in a matter of days.

Juice has a shelf life of 2 years. Keep it in a cool, dark place. Some people suggest storing it in a fridge, but a few experienced vapors have found that the juice actually goes bad in a fridge. So I do not recommend storing your juice in a fridge.

One, maybe two. From dozens who have no problems.

I agree. I have an M401 and i blow out excess juice if it gets flooded, but it's not degraded at all and the same with my Blu. I thought some of them were dead and tried what I had learned on the dead ones and magically they work again.

Coke bath = miracles. Batteries are a diff story. I bought a passthrough USB cord for my M401 today. That should help extend their life.

=) i dunno man, i charge 2 batts 4 times a day, and drip in an unsealed 901 battery!! i drip along the sides as opposed to on the pointy bridge.

good luck to you all... remember tho, they will only ban the liquids. Most of the smoking addiction is oral and blowing out vapor.. so buy some pg and vg, and flavoring, vape nicotine free..

but if u need nicotine, grow your own tobacco and extract the nicotine.
but u can also extract it from pouch tobacco, using just water.
