So after using the Stone III for a while, I do think it is an improvement to the former Stones. The only issue I ever had with the Stone was occassionally not getting a hit when I drew from it. It would gurgle but nothing would come up. It'd pass and so it wasn't a deal breaker or anything. The Stone III hasn't given me that problem at all. I'm happy with it and would buy more.

Hi lizblue, I was just about to post to ask you what you thought. Thank you for the feedback! I'd love to hear from anyone else who got the Stone III, but I think I'll go ahead and get some more of them. I guess I'll have to have a big Stone II sale to make room for the new version!

Hi Annette & VVers,

I tried the Stone III (from another vender since they were already sold out at VV) and it's already broken. The wire that attaches to the little half circle at the bottom has a very weak weld and it broke off when I accidentally dropped the PV from my pocket to the floor.

I also ordered 1 replacement innard for the Stone III and the wire broke off of this one too when trying to insert it into the tank. I'm not the only person that this has happened to according to some other posts that I found about the Stone III.

So, just be aware that you'll need to be VERY careful with that fragile wire attachment due to weak soldering.

It was a great vape for the few hours that I was able to use it. I'm really disappointed that it appears the only "fix" would be to solder it back together.

Just an update on the Stone III. I was able to get it working again without soldering it. Using a tweezers, I pushed the wire behind the tab on the insertion ring that it was originally attached to. Have been using it for several days now with no problem.

This tank is less gurgly than the Stone II and you really can't beat the great flavor and vapor it produces. Very happy that I was able to get it working again.

I'm going to write the company to see if they can fix this wire connection. They've been very responsive when I ask them to make changes based on customer feedback so maybe they'll be willing to do something about it. The Stones produce such amazing vapor, flavor and throat hit, they've just got to perfect the design so we can all enjoy them without so much hassle!

Are the Stones a regular 510 connection or like the visions (ego connection).

Hi minx,

The Stones are a regular 510 connection

They're kind of top heavy on a KGO/EGO type device. To get mine to sit upright, I put them in a large heavy coffe mug that is padded with a cloth. I do sometimes just lay them down flat also. That may cause some gurgling though.

In spite of all the fussing that I've had to do with the Stones, I keep going back to them for the great flavor and vapor.

One other drawback...they are juice HOGS!!! I guess that would be a plus for Annette though. LOL :)
