so, in case you do not know. we have a DiY sub-forums.

every single time someone here asks for juice advice, like half the replies are:
"you should just DiY", "no juice is as good as my DiY", "DiY is the cheapest", etc, etc.....

most people just want to buy a good juice, and not bother with DiY. if you do, then that's great. go to the DiY sub-forum.

if i said "hey i want to go out to dinner. what restaurants are good"? do you think i want to here:
"just make your own food at home" or "it's cheaper to eat at home, do that.?"

just saying.....

Agreed. Besides, I'd love to meet the person who thinks any old Joe Shmo can DIY my three ADV's. These flavors are so complex that I'm sure it took the creators a long time to perfect.

Lets take a juice named Carnage for example. It was created by Philip Rocke and tastes EXACTLY like Red Vines Candy. You couldn't get any closer to the real taste because this juice already tastes like the real thing.......So, where do I start in my journey to DIY Carnage? Who do I order the flavors from? What ratio am I going to mix them at? In what order do I mix each flavor?

For all we know, Philip Rocke created his own flavor extract for this juice.

OK. Point made.

I do think it depends on context. A lot of people ask about nic MG and/or PG/VG ratios. And then DIY comes up, because they want to customize stuff. I don't see a lot of "Just DIY" in the juice-review forums, for example. Also note that DIY includes things like mixing two pre-made juices to achieve some result. Or "tweaking" a flavor so you don't get burn out on it.

"DIY" issues are more common than you think. Then there's the $$$ savings topics.

Besides, it's the internet. ;) To each their own. :)

I totally agree with this notion. This forum is so clogged up with people making off topic suggestions, it's as if it's their private soap box for backyard living. I don't give a rats ... if you like to make your own liquid, or recoil your disposable bottom dual microcoils for your kanger evod or make your own tampons from organic gluten free tibetan cotton. If the question isn't "how do I do this myself" then you are just making it harder for anyone to find what they are actually looking for. It is problematic, and makes the site less useful. I have almost stopped coming here a few times because of people posting worthless replies and making the good information impossible to find.

The moderators should seriously consider whether or not they want this site to be useful, or if all they are concerned with is post counts.

Again, this is a site for user interaction. We're not going to get heavy handed just because someone recommends something that works very well for them (within reason, of course).

If you don't agree with a recommendation, move on to the next post or thread. if it's an unsafe practice, report it. Otherwise, the site is working as designed.

I was doing that sort of DIY almost right from the get-go, because after I quit smoking, 6mg wasn't enough, but 12mg was and remains too strong for me -- so I had to do things like mixing 2 levels to reach my desired 9mg or 10mg; I also discovered that Virginia was really good with a touch of Oak Barrel Cider Pipe Sauce and an even lighter touch of Cinnamon Redhot. I continued that sort of "make-shift" DIY even after I started using WTA; I didn't get into REAL DIY until I became concerned about diketones, and decided it was easier to find *flavors* without diketones and make my own juice than trust ejuice makers not to use ANY diketones -- because their "it's only a tiny bit" is still a lot more than my "none if I can help it."

But the restaurant analogy is right on the money, and the opposite applies too -- if someone wants to know how to make something, kindly don't recommend either a restaurant or a pre-made juice! :D (because in many cases, I can't afford either, and I'm probably not the only one with a limited budget!)

I only mention my DIY juice in threads like "what are you vaping right now?" -- but if someone says they like a certain flavor, but can't seem to find that flavor in their preferred PG/VG -- or they like a certain flavor, but their pre-made is too harsh because of high-PG -- then I'd probably recommend how to make that flavor themselves -- if I know -- or offer that link and suggestion to the DIY forums.

Who urinated in your Cheerios? , I have a great idea, when someone goes on a public forum asking a large group of people advice let's get mad when they give an answer from their own experience.
Dude, its a public forum, get over it and just ignore the answers you don't like. Sweet heavens
I was a professional chef for over 20 years and yes I DIY, I also buy liquid. Had the suggestion been made of 5pawms gambit inevitably someone would scream about its price, I make something damn close for fraction of the price. Either response someone is Gonne be a cry baby.
Either way... buy it, make it... just vape what you like, and dont be all cranky when someone makes a suggestion truth about DIY..its a secret but every DIY person buys liquid, we just buy less of it and buy more hardware. .

If yo are looking for something and don't know want you like the best bet is a shop with a juice bar.
Otherwise specify what you like and maybe someone can point you to types.
"but where can I buy juice'' is like asking where can I find a tshirt.

Specifics please, nicoticket has a nice budget friendly line that is quality, NC vapes is another as is killer-juice, heathers heavenly vapes cww . The Vamping Tiger is another excellent quality at a geatmprice
Unfortunately its a personal quest, no one knows but you.
Higher end, 5pawns, kings throne, suicide bunny, animal, trinity, spacejam, pink spot.

Mt baker I would steer clear of...

There suggestions now watch people find something they dont like... its magical

Welcome to the world of cranky ex smokers and everyones opinion also called vaping
The bottom line is that vaping is like food, you may find something you like that no one else does,, and vice versa.

Edit::: when I started I went through two b&ms juice bar and found 1 juice i liked, as you go through you'll notice phases and then settle on what you really like.
Out of everyone I know, there is one person from the forums who has almost identical vape habits as myself, we tend to like the Same type of hardware and flavor profiles but even their we we have a difference of opinion on which liquid we prefer.

If I don't DIY my liquid and I don't rebuild anything, it seems more and more like I don't belong here.
^^^^^ This post is the one that bothers me. (Out of concern). Sorry for going OT.

You don't have to DIY nor rebuild or colorize or anything else ize. :)

There's plenty of people that vape with stock stuff...cig-a-likes, eGos being most popular using stock coils. Heck, I'm using an Evod with stock coil right now.
You get all kinds of topics. But don't be intimidated! Stick with it. :)
There's plenty of stuff on ECF for "standard" or "normal" users.

I find people on this forum very helpful when someone asks a question. I really appreciate that someone takes the time to answer a question...whether or not it's exactly what I'm looking for. That another person is trying to help out and is a little enthusiastic over their vaping experience doesn't bother me.

I too enjoy Carnage. I also like Looper, the other eliquid in the ANML line - Looper is supposed to taste like the milk leftover at the bottom of a bowl of Fruit Loops. I've tried my hand at DIY and I can't make anything close to the vendor liquids that I enjoy, but I wanted to point out that I've recently seen flavorings for Fruit Loops. I don't know if flavor vendors are like mod cloners where it's only a matter of time before you see someone try to make a flavor like that offered by a juice vendor, but I found it interesting.

Don't get discouraged several of us go from vaping to quit smoking and turn into hobbyists.
some are happy with an ego and evod, others want a stockpile of gear.

You can't take the vantage point of hobbyist at heart. 99% of us are more than happy to help and that is what we should be doing here. , but we don't know what is meant by a vague question.
"what is your favorite liquid?'' and ''who carries the best ry4'' are two vastly different questions to some of us.

The bottom line with any of vaping is to find what YOU LIKE and if something is not what you like than just move on.
For example I hate the kayfuns, most love the things, so I ignore kayfun posts,
In any event stick with it!!!!!

Yes, Looper is another ADV of mine. I get what you're saying and I can attest to tasting Fruit Loop juices by different vendors that taste almost the same. It sometimes makes me wonder if they just ordered the flavor pre-mixed and then added teir own twist to it.

Looper on the other hand has a taste all of it's own. I don't think it taste exactly like what it's supposed to but it's damn good. It's a nice creamy fruity vape that would be damn near impossible to replicate. A lot of these boutique juice creators use custom flavor extracts and age them in different type of enclosures.

Like I said before, if you're the type of person who just wants to vape a juice that tastes Blueberries and Cream then go right ahead and DIY but if you're the type of person who likes to vape juices that taste exactly like Red Vines then you're going to need to pay the price.
