The chart is very helpful. After looking at it several times, I realized that rather than trying
to commit them all to memory, you can remember that you can safely go two above your
ohms. In other words, like you did for 2.4 ohms, you can vape two higher, which is 4.4
volts. That'll keep you in the pocket, and then you can vary slightly, only slightly higher
if you need to.

thats a decent rule of thumb.

a slightly more accurate method (and slightly more work) is to calculate wattage. you typically want to be 9 watts and lower. to calculate wattage, go to ohmslawcalculator.com, or just download the Ohm's Law app for your phone. you plug in your resistance/ohms and your voltage and wattage gets displayed.

There is a huge segment of the vaping world who does NOT want to sit and rebuild a wick.

I am one of them.

From what I read, vivi novas should carry this as part of their description: "for hobbyists".

the vivi tank is the hobbyiest tank.
the vivi *nova* is the screw-on-a-new-atty-head-when-the-old-one-dies tank.
you *can* rebuild the heads on the nova tank, but you certainly dont need to.

my attitude was just like yours regarding rebuilding. i had little interest in it. then i started seeign all the reviews about how easy it was. so i said what the heck, and splurged on enough wick and wire just to make a few (10+) heads, for a whopping price of $7.20 shipped. i figured hey, if its difficult or if i still dont want to do it, the loss is managable. i hav eonly rebuilt 1 head so far, but it was very easy. and for $0.18, im sold. sure beats out the $2.95 i was paying for the factory heads. plus the rebuilt head doesnt burn as easily without that sleve around the coil.

I have heard that from several people and hope then can get their stuff together and get them back like they were. I have a number of the old ones and will be a little reluctant to buy anymore unless the reports start coming in better.

amen to that. i bought a 5 box deal from surevapes. 1st box lasted 2 months. on the 5th box now... changing them every day. boge wont ever get another penny from me!

Nope, just give them a rinse and dry burn and they are back to being great. The one thing that people who are used to Boges don't realise when they try a Vivi is that it vapes best at lower volts. I use my 3ohm Boges at 5v+, but a 2.8ohm Vivi starts giving dry hits at 4.5v+ and the 3.2ohm head works wonderfully at 4.8v.

I also have heads that are working perfectly after over a month now of being used with mostly high VG dark juices.

I got mine in the other day. Not a fan.

Not really surprised though, I prefer bottom coils as I mentioned in an earlier post. Tons of dryish hits with 2.4 ohm head, even holding it nearly upside down and using a 50/50 juice.

I might try re-building a head and see if it helps, but I'm not holding out much hope.

P.S., when I switched juice and installed my 2.8 ohm head it measured 3.2 on the ProVari mini, so YMMV as far as what voltage is right for you.

Are you sure it was a Vivi Nova? I have no problems with dry hits and it wicks very well. There are different versions that look some what like the Vivi Nova but not work the same. I use the 1.8 Ohm coil/atty on a 3.7 volt battery.

Yeah it's a Vivi Nova version 2.5, came in the box with the three heads and everything. Even when it was wicking OK when I first filled it, it tasted muted and weak and went down hill from there.

i think youll have luck rebuilding. you can widen the wick slot slightly with a screwdriver.
also, give it a least a tank or two before you fully decide. thats when mine first broke in.
ive also noticed that the heads run high. my 2.8s and 3.2s were dead accurate, but all the others were about .4 ohm higher than stated.

It does seem you have the same one as mine. When new they do seem to need a little break in, don't know why. I may try to put a few drops on a new coil/atty before I screw it on. And let it soak with new fluid for a Hour or so. Maybe some of them have changed the wicks or something, anyway I am sorry yours does not seem to work very well. I use 70/30 pg/vg and again don't know if that makes a difference in wicking.

I was thrilled with the Vivi when I got mine. Over time, as I read other people saying it, I
started to realize that the flavor was indeed muted. I also agree with other people that
say that the flavor is less muted in the mini Vivi. I vaping on one right now and it's
wonderful.

I can't wait to try cotton wicks. I'm just nervous I'll burn it.

You probably will. From what I read, most people do until they get used to them. I haven't
done them, yet, but I think I need to go that direction. I already bought the cotton for it,
I just don't have the wire, the eyesight, the steady nerves, and the patience. Outside of that,
I'm ready :)

I keep testing mine, but I'm about done.
I hate the wicks in the 1.8 & 2.4Ω. The 2.8Ω wicks are better, but still not doing it for me.
The flavor is muted and they still 'filter' the juice as I've vaped 1/2 tank w/ the 2.8 head and the juice is already noticeably thicker.

Back to rockin' the varicool Beast with Kanger T2's & T3's for me.

I think mine is like the mini Vivi, but not sure because there is some different models that have a name with Viva in it. The one I am using and like, is the Vision Vivi Nova 2.5ml size and that is the small one. The other is a bigger 3.5ml and is larger than what I like so, I have the 2.5ml one and they are harder to find. There is a lot of the larger ones, 3.5ml at various vendors and you can get metal colored ones for the tanks but have not seen metal for the smaller 2.5ml version, and I buy the long wick replacement atomizer heads.
