I've noticed the same thing! When I first fill it, it vapes really well. When it's half empty, juice turns dark and tastes burnt.

ive noticed this too. i call that dark thick juice the sludge. i only get sludge if i refill the tank without cleaning it. i typically dump out the last 0.35ml, rinse out the tank parts, then replace the coil with a new, cleaned, or rebuilt head.

i never realized that the thinner parts of the jucie were gettign wicked and vaped first. i always thought that the juice got thicker and darker due to gettign heated up with every draw. i thought a few drips of heated juice would fall back down into the tank, and by the time the tank was nearly empty, youre left with jucie that has gotten heated but not vaped over and over.

but this only happens on certain juices. usually its the sweeter or darker ones.

Well, I ordered a ViVi Nova (full size) and I should get it either Tuesday or Wednesday. Currently I drip using low res 1.7 ohm attys at 4.5 volts and get a consistent hit each time.

When my Nova arrives, I'd like to keep my voltage at 4.5 volts. Of the three heads that come with the Nova, the 1.8, the 2.4, or the 2.8 ohm head, which should I use? I know everyone has their own "sweet spot" when it comes to voltage, but what would you recommend?

Also, what voltage do you actually use, along with which head, when you vape with your ViVi Nova?

Thanks in advance!

I usually run about 4 volts with a 2.4ohm head. I'm still learning. I've gotten way to high voltage and it made everything tase burnt. Also that's the way I learned the vmax isn't really putting out what it says it is. Burnt the coil up. Sorry I can't be of more help but I guess it's like peoples bottoms. Everyone has their own opinion of each one. Just wish you good luck

Have you had a look at that safe vaping chart? I'm not very technically inclined, so it's pretty handy to have it all spelled out like this for me.

Personally I've found that I get the best results with the 2.4 head at 4.2-4.4 volts

The chart is very helpful. After looking at it several times, I realized that rather than trying
to commit them all to memory, you can remember that you can safely go two above your
ohms. In other words, like you did for 2.4 ohms, you can vape two higher, which is 4.4
volts. That'll keep you in the pocket, and then you can vary slightly, only slightly higher
if you need to.

I'm sorry but the attached chart didn't show up very well when i downloaded it (saved it to my hard drive). I tried to re-access it with a pic program and enlarge it but nothing focused.

Can someone please upload a high resolution chart? That'd be awesome. Thanks!
Whoops, the forum resized. Didn't know it would do that. Sorry!

I think anyone who has vaped bottom feeders for a long time will have an issue getting used to the vivi nova, when i got mine i filled it up and the taste and throat hit was like a marlboro light, compared to my marlboro red boges...i did have to lower my voltage to use it "from getting weak/burnt hits"...I did use it for a couple days but i also use a dark tobacco flavor, and it just taste better in a pyrex tank with a boge..imo

There is a huge segment of the vaping world who does NOT want to sit and rebuild a wick.

I am one of them.

From what I read, vivi novas should carry this as part of their description: "for hobbyists".

Yes, me too, but I love my vivi nova and vvi mini. I just change the heads when they're done. (I'm no hobbyist - that's why I love them - they're easy!)

Boges are great cartomizers and I do use them thru out the day when I want something small to carry, but I don't use it in a tank. What I don't like with any carto that has filler material in it, is because vaping the filler material when it eventually burns inside. Who knows what kind of stuff your breathing with burnt filler matierial. The Viva Nova has no filler material and that is just one of the things I like about them.

The current boges are horrible.. The colonel changed one of the spices or something.
I have heard that from several people and hope then can get their stuff together and get them back like they were. I have a number of the old ones and will be a little reluctant to buy anymore unless the reports start coming in better.
