Hey guys just wondering as the warmer weather is upon us here in Canada is it ok to leave your mod and tank in the car while you go do a few errands? I have cuboid and crown tank and don't feel like bringing it in my pockets while I'm shopping. Was just worried that the extreme heat could possibly damage the mod?

The answer is no.. some idiot left a mod in a csr in the summer for 3 weeks here where I live and it blew up in his face.. it ended up being on the news.. it came out later on a vape forum he left it in a csr for 3 weeks.

Remember boys and girls 99.99% of things that happen are because of human stupidity.

Even in the shade during summer months it gets very hot in a car. Even in the glove compartment or console, it gets very hot. I never leave a device in the car anymore (did it once), won't do it again.

If I realize I left one in the car I waste no time in retrieving it. If not it WILL get too hot to handle sooner than one might think.

I'm sure our friends in the warmer states to the south are very aware of this. We Canuks should be too.

Tell your new vaper friends.

I'm a bit curious what part of Canada has "extreme heat"?

RFLMAO, yeah, most times the Cannucks and other out of state winter snow birds vacate the area once the oven here in Phoenix begins to warm up.

@AzPlumber lots of them do!! We get all four seasons here! I'm in Ontario Mississauga not far from Toronto get to like 35-40 degrees Celsius during summer and in my area very muggy.

:/ 40C and 70% Humidity, yeah that can get a bit muggy, still 120F and about 40-60% humidity during the summer monsoons in July and August here just about takes all energy out of your sails I'll say that.

OT
Leaving a mod /w tank in a hot car during summer is a bit dangerous and messy. Short hop in and out, I'd store the mod and tank upside down in a cup holder to keep leaking to a minimum. Longer than about 20 or so minutes, pocket the vape and just carry it with you, otherwise keep in a small ice chest with an ice pack (old construction worker technique) and in all instances, keep the unit out of direct sunlight.

I've left mine in the car on a hot sunny day for an hour, but I always leave the windows down a bit when I do it and I don't vape a hot battery. I wouldn't do it for longer than that.

Hot cloudy days don't worry me for a couple of hours.

If I want to I also have a couple of small mods and toppers that are pretty easy to pocket.

The temperate in a car under hot sun can go beyond 50C. This is the reason will many people dont recommend you keep plastic water bottles in a car as the plastic might can degraded.

Batteries usually gets damaged by heat.
Your juice will also taste different after getting baked in the car for so long.

Bad idea. ABC News had a story today that a car caught on fire in a parking lot & the fire department found an "ecig" in the center console. They said it looked like that was where the fire started. I use a pocket friendly device for running errands & leave the big guns at home.
