Put the VG and PG in the refridgerator and bottle the NIC in glass and store in the freezer and they will last 5 or more years. These fluids do not freeze so there's no danger of bottles bursting. Store the flavorings in a cool dark place and they will last several years.

You are going to hear a pretty wide range of opinions to your query, mlj. They certainly do get old and you can delay the "aging process". Personally, I keep any nic liquid, PG, and VG in the freezer in their original containers until use, unless I happen to decide to transfer them to glass bottles first. I also keep VG and PG in the fridge. I have used some nic liquid that is ~3 yrs old with no apparent degradation, but that is just my experience. Flavors I keep in a cool, dark place. I have refrigerated some with no deleterious effects, but many will point out the humidity in the fridge and problems from it. But the containers are closed, so I don't really know what to think.
Bottom line, cooling is cool for your goods far as I'm concerned. I'm sure there will be other experts who will chime in to tell you more jewels of wisdom as well. This is just my :2c:
Good luck with DIY -- it's a lot of fun as long as you don't get overly entangled in the minutia of measuring, additives, etc. Just keep an open mind and have a good time with it while being careful and respecting the nic liquid.

I just placed my first order for nic, from Wizard Labs. They recommend transferring it from the poly bottles they package it in to glass for long term storage. Maybe VG too, can't remember for sure. They said in glass it will last for 2 years, but that's probably an underestimate, I've heard more knowledgeable people than me say it will last for 5 years, and maybe as long as 10 years, and the worst that will happen is that over longer periods it will lose a little potency. WL said it will oxidise over time and turn brown but this won't affect its effective nicotine content.

There's a bunch of threads about this if you do a search.

Hi danny, or anyone else who can answer, I got some questions for ya.

1. I got bottles of TFA creamy flavors. They are all 4 oz plastic bottles. Should I put them in the refrigerator? I bought some 1oz glass bottles to store them in the room, and put the plastic bottles in the refrigerator. Is that a good idea, should I buy some 4 oz glass bottles to store in the refrigerator instead?

2. I love the creamy rich flavors. When I got started, I did everything with heat steep. Now I have learned by experiments that creamy flavors take time to mature. All my TFA flavor are colorless, and I mix them to make 3mg/ml ejuices. I will wait until they turn to brownish or amber color, and it's like the aging of fine wines. But my question is, why heat steeping doesn't work, and what's is undergoing with time in the ejuices? I am just curious about that. I would think that the longer it takes, the better mixture of the vg and the creamy flavors marry together. But I also thought that with heat and a hell of shaking will do the same too, lol.

Some store flavorings in the refrigerator and I've not herd of any complaints. I would store in brown boston round glass bottles. As far as steeping Heat does work. Read my blog on the subject. There are ways to speed up the process. Just look to the left under my avatar and press the number 11 where it says "Blog Entries 11"
