The Zombies craved brains for those without brains are the only individuals who can't see that vaping is a safer alternative to smoking. They craved these brains so much so that they launched an attack on Mensa headquarters.

Thousands of zombies stormed Mensa headquarters, and when they left it was barren.
It was time that the government got involved. They brought out all their military might to attack the zombies.
"Geesh, these are TOUGH" the zombies noted as they tried to chew through all the grissle. "And bland too" they complained. It seemed odd that Mensa would have some of the worst brains they had ever tasted. The zombies quickly became parched and looked for something to help wash the brains down. All they found was an old tiered fountain in the back and with one sip they knew why the brains were so bad. "Aha, it's the Kool-aid."
They didn't know about Kool-aid and what will happen if they all drink it.....
Suddenly the zombies hear a soft rumbling in the distance, it progressively grew louder and louder until...BOOM. The Kool-Aid man broke through the wall
"OHHHH YEAHHHH" he shouted as he began picking up zombies and throwing them into his pitcher-like body, drowning them in sugar and food coloring.

"Brains!!!!! Blub-blub-glug......"went the zombies into the kool-aid. One by one they came out and smelled the sweet vapor coming off of the vaper crowd that stared at this scene in horror.
But their horror soon turned to pleasure, as the mod brain trust group that Sassy and MechMod Man had put together, along with One Stop DIY Shop, went out into the crowd and began distributing BETA versions of their newly designed mod, which they named The Adept Mod.
Any Kool-Aid type juice vaped in it would eat it's way through the connection and cause a nuclear reaction. That's due to it's built in automatic, secret bullsheet meter. No one thought that brainless zombies would want or even care about having protection or safety installed.

It would be up to Mechman to save the day again. "How will I thwart this nuclear meltdown?" he thought to himself.
He used all his powers to summon up the beautiful and enchanting Kool-Aid woman and when Kool-aid man saw her he followed her away from the Zombies and the Beta Mods thus averting a Kool-aid Vaping melt down.
