That's very odd indeed. I also had a strange VV Woodvil experience...my batteries obviously needed changing and one of the 18350 (AW's) I pulled out of it would not turn the green light on my charger to red. I measured the voltage and it was at 1.7V...the other battery was at 3.6V...Hmmm. I had to use another charger to make it begin charging. We'll see- that battery (less than 3 weeks old) might be defective. I've never seen this happen before with any AW battery.

I had this happen once when I ran a battery too long, till it wouldn't fire anymore. It took a few minutes for the light on the charger to turn red, but then it charged fine and has been working fine ever since.

I had a strange thing happen today with my Reo Mini and AW batery, I tend to be a button masher and today my button got got stuck, turns out the firing pin point got caught in one of the vent holes on the top of the battery, so I just wanted to warn everyone to watch out for this.
I have never seen this one before but your right it could happen

A very good reason to remember: Don't MASH the button! That point should make contact with the tip of the button on the battery. When you mash, it flexes out a little bit and can get stuck if the vent hole is lined up just right.

Mashing hard over and over can lead to problems with the firing mechanism.

I had this exact same problem with 1 of mine and I believe we use the same charger as well I pitched mine and grabbed 1 of my spares there has been alot of defective AW IMR 18350's out there lately Mike (misplacedsooner) had several I think quality control slacked off cause of the huge demand for them recently:(

if you vape the vv till the cutoff: for example if you set it at 4.5v the cuttoff will occur at 5.0v. that 5v however is the total of the volts in both batts, so in case of an equal discharge both batts are down to 2.5v each. prolly the weakest batt will discharge lower then the strongest.

personally i decided to swap my batts around 3.8v and both batts are usually just with only 0.01v difference of eachother by that time. even tho the vv is still working perfectly, i just don't want to discharge my batts that low. but then again thats just me :)

Since I got the button tops, I don't mash anymore,lol...and i'm now inclined to keep the Reo grand, since it's so much more gentle on my ole hands..

Hmm, was looking at those, wonder how they would look on a mini?
18490 on the left....mini on the right. I left the button high on the mini just to see if I liked it that way better. I do not. I have since moved it so it's at the same height as the button on the 18490.
