Hello all! I started vaping 2 weeks ago after ordering a starter kit from bloog. before it arrived in the mail, i purchased a few square 82 red disposables from the smoke shop nearby to tide me over and start weening myself away from smoking. i fully enjoyed the disposables for a few days until my kit arrived, and pretty much went into instant pacifier mode with the 16mg pre-filled cartos that I ordered with it (grape and ry4). I would also occasionally switch to some of the 24mg "tobacco sampler" cartos that came with the kit as well, but i mostly just chain vaped all day at 16mg. I would occasionally switch to the 24mg carts (ry4, 555, Red, Kamel, and menthol) and be perfectly fine vaping those for hours at a time.

I was totally fine for more than a week, thoroughly enjoying my new obsession, when some new juice and empty cartos arrived from bloog. it was a 24mg RY4 which i immediately put into a fresh blank carto. within moments of my first drags i got sick. really sick. Nausea, dizziness, ........, and a general tightness in the chest. Felt like a stomach flu. I pretty much slept, pooped, and drank water until the next day, when i realized that the chest discomfort i was still experiencing was really just terrible heartburn. Since last monday, i have been taking it REALLY easy, to the point where i would rather smoke an analog out of fear that i will get sick again. It took 3 days before i felt relatively normal again, and i had chalked the whole episode up to not eating enough throughout the day before vaping a few puffs of 24mg juice.

Yesterday, after lightly vaping my BWB 18mg juices throughout the morning, I tried another small drag of the carto with the "new" 24mg bloog ry4 that originally made me sick. Within less than an hour I was feeling nauseous and gross again, but not as bad as before. For about seven hours or so (until I quit vaping completely) i fought off bouts of nausea and heartburn. Today I feel like i got run over. I have reverted to some weaker analogs until i feel normal again, or i receive my low nic juice.

I have smoked for the last 15 years, most of that at about a pack of lights a day. The last year or so i've cut down to about 8-12 marlboro lights a day. I've still had many days where I would blast through an entire pack or more when socializing with friends, and haven't been 'nicotine sick" since a cinnamon clove spanked me back when i was 14. Oddly enough, the following day was the day I started buying real smokes.

I'd like more experienced opinions on whether or not this sounds like an overdose, or perhaps a reaction to another chemical in the juice or empty cartomizers. Since the day I first got sick, I have never felt all the way normal. Could I have been maintaining an overdosed state by minimally vaping or smoking throughout the week? How long does it take to flush nicotine out of your system? Could it be that I've developed a reaction to an ingredient or chemical that wasn't there a week prior?

Thanks for taking the time to read this huge(sorry) monologue. If you have any feedback I'd appreciate it. As it stands, I'm crushed. Up until monday I was happily vaping and laying off analogs. I have never had that much success at quitting smoking before.
Happy vaping everyone!

Hmmm, the I have seen all of those symptoms listed under nicotine overdose, but from what I understand, it is very difficult to do. I don't think 24 mg nic juice should make you that sick if you smoked a pack of cigarettes a day for 15 years. Some people are allergic to PG, so you might try switching to a 100% VG juice. I would also lower your nicotine content a little as well, just to be on the safe side. Other than that, I am sure someone else will be along to give you some more advice. I hope you can find something that works for you.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, drink plenty of water. Much more than you normally would. Both PG and VG are used in cosmetic products because of the way they affect the water in your skin. They will cause you to become dehydrated quicker than you would otherwise.

It could be a combination of too much nicotine (not necessarily an overdose in the classic sense) and withdrawal. You said that you didn't get sick until you vaped the 24mg juice, but the next day you vaped 18mg. I think that 24mg might just be too much for you. Everyone is different and some people just can't handle high nicotine levels. I also strongly suggest that you make sure you're drinking enough water. Vaping is dehydrating, so increasing your water intake can be helpful, especially for getting through the withdrawal.

They way I'm reading it she was OK with the 18 & 24 until she got the prefilled cartos. She was OK with the red cartos, OK with the BWB juice, sick with the Bloog cartos.

Unless I'm reading it wrong which is highly possible.

Thank you all for chiming in.

To clarify, I had been vaping the 24mg ry4 and other 4 tobacco prefills during the preceding week mixed in with the 16mg prefills. It wasn't until I got a bottle of the fusion ry4 @24mg and some blank bloog carts that I got I'll. Since then I've been vaping very little, but it has all been bwb 18mg and 24mg juice through blank bloog carts. Yesterday I tried a quick puff off the same evil cart, and I got sick again.

I'm wondering if the bottles of juice are different than the factory fills, or if there is something different in the polyfill of the blank bloog carts. Maybe it was just a bad batch of juice. Either way, i've been really sensitive since then, even the bwb 18 can make me feel gross every once and awhile.

Ps- I'm a dude. I know the name sounds kinda feminine and I DID smoke marlboro lights, so no hard feelings there:facepalm:

It sounds to me like the juice. There is something in the juice that's doing it. You didn't burn the carto by any chance, did you? I really doubt if it's the carto, it sounds like a definite juice issue.

I'd think maybe it was the PG but you were fine with PG before this, same with the nic strength.

very odd. I'd let them know. Hope you feel better!

I am on Indian land
I know that at first, all the various little symptoms and aches and pains that come with introducing new things, the stress of learning to puff alone tired me out, and the coughing - well...

But the thing is, that despite all that, we're still living the rest of our lives, even though we may be consumed with this new behavior and new substance ingestion.

So here's the bush I'm beating around: Have you considered that it could be something you ate?

My sister wasn't feeling well, not vaping related but she said the juice was making her even more queasy. I order her some Vanilla Mint from KickBass Vapor it's a pretty light flavored juice. It tasted better than it sounds actually.

Do you have a different non-tobacco juice you can vape until you feel 100% better?

I'm with lolady on this one. Maybe the e liquid/ cartomizer was bad, but it coulda been a bum burrito or toxic tomato.

When I was a kid, I ate some bad canned lima beans. I'm telling ya, I can't even stand the smell of them to this very day even though obviously not all lima beans are sour. Maybe you're having the same type of reaction to your cartomizers even though it was a virus or something else that sent you to worship at the porcelain altar.

Anyway, hope you feel better. :)
