I'm with lolady on this one. Maybe the e liquid/ cartomizer was bad, but it coulda been a bum burrito or toxic tomato.

When I was a kid, I ate some bad canned lima beans. I'm telling ya, I can't even stand the smell of them to this very day even though obviously not all lima beans are sour. Maybe you're having the same type of reaction to your cartomizers even though it was a virus or something else that sent you to worship at the porcelain altar.

Anyway, hope you feel better. :)

Very similar to food poisoning or tummy flu, minus all the pain associated with both. I think it is possible that maybe I ended up swallowing a LOT of juice- hence the terrible heartburn and other unfortunate side effects. Either way, it's going in the trash.

edit- the fact that it made me sick each time I puffed off that cart seems to point towards the juice or cart, not a bum burrito.

For a good month (began a few weeks after I switched to vaping), I also experienced horrible heartburn and felt exhausted for no reason. Somewhere I read something about how carbon monoxide (or the lack of) effects the gastrointestinal system, so I chalked up my symptoms to one of the many side-effects associated with quitting the 4000+ chemicals in analogs. Now all of that is entirely gone, and I haven't changed a thing about my vaping. I'm not saying your experience isn't due to something else, but my experience of those type of symptoms turned out to be due to withdrawal. (I'm not a doctor. Seeing one just to be on the safe side is always a good idea.) Of course, you should follow your own "gut" here -- since your experience is unique to you. Also, I found that following the advice of other posters discussing upping fluids was quite helpful. Good luck figuring it all out! :)

I hadn't even thought it could be a withdrawal symptom. I've been through the usual sore throat, phlegmy goodness, but I've never experienced anything like that when attempting to quit before. Thanks for the idea. Thanks to everybody else for ringing in too, I'm feeling way more optimistic after reading your posts. I'm still tossing that bottle, but I bet I'm experiencing all kinds of withdrawal and readjustment as well.

That's a terribly scary thing to happen, Im so sorry. IMHO it sounds like bad juice. Do you think calling the vendor would be a good idea. Just to be safe, have one of the employees give it a try. I'm glad your not giving up on vaping, what happened to you is not common. I'm glad your feeling better.

I went through something similar just this past week. Though for me, all my carts and juices were just about the same nic level but different brands. I also take omeprazole daily for heartburn so I didn't have that. Just really queasy and pounding heart with massive headache. After lots of advise from these wonderful folks, I ended up diluting the liquids I had with vg and tossing the pre-filled cartos.

As many have already said it sounds like a reaction to the juice. I did not have that extreme of a reaction but I ordered Cinnamon and found that while I liked the flavor it made me feel...well funky and kind of sick. You may want to try peppermint. I know it sounds weird but it has a real calming effect for me. Risking the wrath of others I will say that RY4 in general is kind of disgusting IMHO :)

1 thing I see you mention is you may have gotten juice in your mouth? When I fill my own carts I'm very cautious on first couple puffs. I wipe away any xtra juice off my lips or carts with a paper towel and try not to swallow any. I think this is a big factor in tummy ache symptoms that gets over looked. It's like a cig smoker taking the first toke off a cigar. Too much at 1 time! JMThought.

One thing no one has mentioned directly is dehydration, it really can be a serious side effect of vaping and can cause your body havoc. I think this may be a contributing factor to what your experiencing, perhaps along with a little OD of nic. It can happen when you're just beginning in vaping.

If it is the juice, it's a pretty well known brand and yuo can sell what you have left on the classifieds and try a different vendor.

Update:

Feeling much better this morning. More bloog ry4 arrived today in 0mg and 4mg. Been vaping them all morning. Gotta say, while the ry4 was my fav of the prefilled, the bwb juices have ruined my ability to enjoy it as much. Either way, I'm chalking it all up to a mixture of noob-related symptoms. Dehydration isn't a culprit, I'm a burner, I know dehydration all too well. I believe I over filled a cart with bad juice, was vaping too heavily in general, and am still experiencing a myriad of withdrawal symptoms from whatever the hell chemicals are in analogs that I'm really addicted to.

I have another noob question.- the low nic ry4s from bloog are almost clear, while the one that made me sick was the color of dark maple syrup. Does nicotine content change the color of juices?

No but different flavoring agents do.

I would say juice too. I have had some bad experiences recently with juice that I was going to give up vaping altogether. 6months I have tried many juices, done dyi etc. I got a sample of Juicy Clear Timmy's double double. I like and use many JC juices. This DD though holy smokes. I vaped a bit at night and by the time I went to bed, I thought I had a cold. I had chest pains, wheezing etc. I couldn't sleep, and was getting worried when I had a coughing frenzy. Felt fine the next day until I tried that juice again and 3rd vape had me hacking and wheezing. I boiled that carto and tossed something else in and still same thing. I tossed that carto out, gave the juice to my bud who loves it... some flavouring in that juice really got me... and now I find after all this time my body also dislikes vg. I am now back to vaping pg juices and working out daily. chest is fine, wheezing gone etc...

sometimes we are just lab rats. if your body gets sick from something, stop using it. there are far too many other options out there, but I would still choose vaping over analogs any day

I had some bad experiences with PG at the start. Made me sick, then i switched to VG and it was all good. After vaping VG for a while i decided to try PG again. I didnt get the same chest pains and problems I had at the beggining. Maybe i was just getting used to vaping. I now vape 50/50 PG/VG mix and found thats me sweet spot.

Well, it's happened again. Been vaping 18mg for the last few days with no problems, but was still having terrible cravings for analogs. Popped a 36mg earlier in the afternoon and a few puffs killed that craving. Half hour later forgot which cart was on my bat and puffed a good few drags. Was fine, changed out the cart and laid off for a good while. Bout 3 hours later started to feel some slight nausea. It's steadily been getting worse and turning to dizzy spells and almost vomit time. Thats where I sit right now. Hopefully it will start to pass so I can get some sleep. Problem solved. Noob OD. No headache, just dizzy and pukey. I'm gonna stick to 18 and below whenever I feel well enough to vape again, and I bet I won't have this problem again.
