So... the really intense nauasea seems to have subsided for now. Between fits I have been reading about nicotine absorption. I think I may be vaping "wrong." By that, I mean that I take loooong full hits(often killing the 5 second shut-off and then some), and almost always let them stew in my mouth, throat, and sinus a good few seconds before inhaling, and almost always slowly exhale with very little force. This is how I smoke lighter analog cigs. With vaping, I often exhale very little vapor at all, and much of it cycles right back up my nose when it does exit my mouth. This realization put me to thinking about another phenomena I have seen other people suffer through.
People who smoke beefy cigars and strong pipe tobaccos can experience prolonged absorption of nicotine that resides in the residue of the smoke that coats the mouth, throat, and sinus after exhaling the original smoke. Im thinking I may not only be experiencing a similar effect, but that my constant water intake may be rinsing this residue down into my tummy, where I've been having the most trouble. To be honest, I hadn't thought of this before, but the feeling is very similar to swallowing saliva while using nicotine gum, no smoke tobaccos, or smoking a mean cigar and swallowing too often. In my particular case, this tends to come on a little slower, but last a bit longer as well.
I 'd like to hear more from you fine folks about your particular behavior while vaping. Especially folks like myself who have spent half or more of their lives smoking analogs. Happy vaping, and thanks for your input!
