Strawberry Question...

Okay, I just got a mixed berry sampler yesterday and in it came a strawberry.

Now I have purchased a 5pk of Strawberry on my previous order.

First, the wrappings are 2 different colours. The 5pk carts I got are a pink/lt cherry red colour and the Strawberry out of the sampler is a med. burgundy colour.

Second, they taste quite different to me. I really like the one out of the sampler as opposed to the pk of carts I had received earlier.

Would it be wrong to assume the darker carto is the newer strawberry? The lighter carts have the date 10/2009. The cart out of the sampler doesn't have a date that I can see on it.

I should also mention that the lighter cartos are only 11mg while the sampler carto is a 24mg. Can the nicotine content change flavour that much? I haven't experienced this great of a change in other flavours I've tried so far in different str: Cranberry, Spiced Cider, and Cool.

I'm just trying to figure this all out b/c I really like the one I got in the sampler and would love to get more of that version.

For info: The lighter strawberry 11 cartos kinda remind me of the strawberry flavouring from strawberries and cream oatmeal. It's not unvapable by any means, just meh to me.

The darker strawberry 24 carto really reminds me of a truer strawberry hard candy I can't seem to find much anymore and I absolutely are in with it.

Any help or suppositions welcomed. I did a search but didn't find much anything specifically relevant to strawberry.

i have had one strawberry flav from v4l... if they did tweak it i'm really eager to try the new one, because i didn't dig it the first time round. so i'm interested to hear the answer to this too...

The Strawberry on the site shows a dark burgandy cart. I have had the strawberry mixed with other things like the white choco strawberry..but not just the strawberry. I may have to give it a try!

If you can get the burgundy coloured ones I say go for it! I've been trying to avoid vaping that one cart dry just "sipping" once or twice here or there so it can last as long as possible. >.<

LOL that's OK! How ironic, I've only tried carts, not juice so I can't tell ya that either! >.<

You are using 2 very different nic strengths. Usually I find the actual flavor better on the lower nic carts, but so far with the fruity ones that has not been the case. The higher nic has seemed to have better flavor. Hope that helps.

well i mean...they're gonna keep tweaking to get the flavor right every so often. I thought i experienced this last week...with my beloved cin roll. I vape 24 mg..and decided to order 18. It did taste way diff from the 24. Then I tried it again a week later, turned out i was using a dirty battery or it was just psychological. As they say, taste really is subjective. Give it a few days and go back to it like I did. worked for me! Oh, and try white choc straw. amazing.

I understand what you both are saying. The only reason why I question this idea is b/c I have vaped:

Blueberry in 11 and 24
French Pipe in 36 and 24 (of which also have different wrapper colours)
Cranberry in 36, 24, and 11
Spiced Cider in 36 and 24
Pineapple in 36 and 24

All of these though I find the flavour to be consistent, it's just intensity that changes (which to me 24 seem to have the most flavour)

I'm really sure that it's not the batt issue b/c I still have prefills from the old and vaped them side by side on the PT, XL man, and a reg XL man by switching the carts. Same result.

Then however, the Pineapple does seem a bit more "creamy" in the 24 vs the 36, so maybe it is reserved for just particular flavours to have this tendency.

AAAAH now I'm really confused!

Guess I'll just have to jump and by a box of the 24s and see. might as well pic up some WCS to try as well.

I ordered some English toffee 24mg Carts too.. and used it for less then 5mns - took it off right away. yuck! very bitter!! couldn't even use these for an emergency!!

Well, I haven't tried ET so I can't say anything particular to that flavour. I have gotten flavours that really just didn't agree with me at first, too.

On that note tho I can repeat some advice from here already: come back to it again in a couple days. It may surprise you.

At first try I really couldn't stand Egg Nog, Pumpkin Pie, & Spiced cider. Tried them again a couple days later to find that while EN & PP weren't gonna be loves there were tolerable. SC took a qhile to warm up on me but I now find this to be delicious! Enough to. Buy a pk of carts and vaped a whole cart of it yesterday

Just received the berry sampler, and the strawberry tastes fresh and juicy to me. The raspberry's my fav although I'm enjoying all the berries. I wonder if I'm the only here who hasn't tried higher nic-levels for fear that I would like them more! I started with 11-mg and have stayed at that level since it was enough to kick my old analog habit (MLs) yet low enough that I can vape for awhile without ever feeling sick. I guess I'll never know what I'm missing.

It was supposed to be more of a dark red than burgundy, but the printers hand mix the dyes, and dye the materials in a non-temerature and humidity controlled environment, so they never turn out exactly like the pantone colors I choose.

The flavor is another case of flavor drift by the liquid manufacturer. As I mentioned in the Watermelon thread, we are now having our liquids made specifically for us instead of ordering through our manufacturer, and they will be keeping samples to ensure consistency from batch to batch. And the new Strawberry is FABULOUS!! They will ship before Chinese New Year, and should be in stock mid February!

Kk. That would also explain the slight colour change I noticed in the French Pipe cartos I got. Thankfully, flavour did not change

My husband agrees. First strawberry we got as a freebie and he did not care for it. Second one was from the sampler and he has been sucking on it all the time. Please let us know when the new strawberry is in stock and I will get him a box of them. He also said that the watermelon was much nicer in the sampler as well.

I just know I adore the raspberry. Does anyone know if the 5 ml bottles on the website contain the same flavor that is in the berry sampler?
