i've noticed that some of the carts are not as strong as others. i wonder why this is.
or am imagining it?
some are great, i get the TH i want and thoroughly enjoy vaping them ... others, i feel are weaker and i have to suck harder.
hmmmm..??

--- i've been watching some youtube videos on how-to refill. i so wanna try this and intend to. any recommendations on where to buy juice?
and are all cartos created equal? will i be ok starting off refilling my cheapy ecig?
i do want to upgrade soon {couple wks, maybe.} i was thinking about the volt or one from bloog as my next step ... but in the meantime, i'd like to try refilling the ones i've got.
(( greensmartlivng }}

also, just wanted to say i've gotten myself thru a couple high stress situations, in which i would usually turn to analogs and chain smoke for comfort. thats a huge milestone for me.
i just kept my pv in my hand and puffed away until i felt better.
wayyyyy better than relying on the stinky sticks ... i'm really kinda proud.

If you want to upgrade I'd suggest one of these:

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Joye eGo
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

(click the discount code tab on there for 20% off all orders)

Barely bigger than a volt:

Riva is unregulated from 3.7v and will go down in voltage as you use it. Ego is regulated to 3.3-3.4v so should stay there until near the end. No other difference other than slight cosmetic changes. All 510 threaded gear with a ton of options.

You can expect 6 hours or more from the 650mAh batteries as compared to the 2 hours or so you'd get from a volt.

Not all cartos are created equal and you can only expect about a week to two weeks from one carto before it's going to be gummed up. You'll be fine if you refill the ones you have but they may still have the taste of the last juice you had in them. Buying in blank cartomisers is the best way to go if you want the best performance from them. I can't say for sure what threading your greensmartliving is but it looks like a 510 automatic clone. 510 cartomisers that are 2.5ohm or thereabout should work just fine with it.

Cartomisers: http://www.liberty-flights.com/product.asp?id=72 most would reccommend 2.5ohm boge cartomisers for a 510 I think.

For juices I'm really unfamiliar with USA vendors so I can't help you out there.

It's cheaper to refill your own cartomisers in the long run and it's not too difficult once you've done a few of them. Best of luck!

Edit: if you really do want one cig size/looking then yeah, a volt is the way to go. Use the code 'heatwave' for 23% off volt gear if it's still an active code. Volt/bloog/halo g6 are all Kr808D-1 threaded pvs so if you get them you need Kr808D-1 cartomisers instead of 510 ones if you intend to buy blank cartomisers for them in the future.

Welcome to ECF!!!
leftfeild, covered the information needed for your next step very well. Good advice.

Bought my GF a Volt and it's a good unit, fits her style. I on the other hand vape
ego's, large mods, homemade box mods, homemade anything that will hold a battery mods :)
Depends on what style you like, and your tastes will change the longer you vape.

I started with a GreenSmartLiving as well. My attempts at refilling their cartos have been hit and miss. The inner workings don't seem to hold up to the cleaning proccess and end up leaking after refilled. Make sure you dry them really well before refilling - stuff a piece of paper towel down so it touches the filler and then lay down on another paper towel to wick water out quickly.

As soon as you can, up grade to a better system. Those cheap things are awsome to find out you CAN quit with vaping, but not so great for long term.

Cartomizers - what cartomizers are you comparing? Different vendors? brands? Flavors of the same vendor? Juices you put in cartos yourself?

They are not all equal - there are different manufacturers, different designs inside, different ohms

Juices - some flavors and in some cases higher amounts of flavor can add a sharper edge to the hit. And the flavoring percentage can effect vapor - see below.

Juice color or clarity - some juices, usually dark juices, leave a lot of flavoring sediment. Flavoring sediment will gunk up atomizers and clog the stuffing or wicks of cartomizers, causing sluggish wicking and reduced drag. I now avoid putting juices like these in cartomizers.

PG/VG - PG is thin and lets through the most flavor and the most of nicotine's TH and irritation and makes thinner looking vapor. VG is thick, dulls/smooths everything PG lets through and adds thicker and more persistent visible vapor. Even between two of the same PG/VG juices, one may actually have more PG if the flavoring it uses needs a higher percent (flavorings are usually in PG and some vendors may premix the base and then add flavoring). Since PG/VG ratio also affects the thickness of the juice, it affects how quickly and well the juice saturates the stuffing/wicks and ow quickly it flows in the carto. In stuffing cartos I find juices with 20% or less VG keep my cartos working well longer. And reservoir cartos work well with 20-30% VG.

Ohms - (note - slim ecigs cannot use low resistance - 2.5 ohms may be fine, but not lower) Lower ohms cartos give hotter vapor and heat enhances nicotine's hit. So the same juice will give more hit in a 2.5ohm carto than in a 3.2ohm carto, assuming the liquid has nicotine.

Design - Some carto brands/styles work efficiently and repeatedly, and some work well once (I am staring at you SLB carto) and some work poorly

my heads spinning w/ info. LoL. ~ i just meant the green smart living cartos ive been using w/ the starter kit i've got now { possibly refilling those, before upgrading} vs waiting on doing the whole refilling thing, until i do upgrade ...
:)

Oooh, and yeh, i'm just wanting a simple cig style PV i can add premixed juices to, as the next step, at this time. ;)
{the recommendations for this, have been great. but where would i buy juices? i know i saw a place on the forum where i can view vendors, but not sure where..?? }

For a cig style pv I recommend a Volt by Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarettes | Wholesale Electronic Cigarettes | E-Cigarette | Best Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarette . It's a 2pc unit and you can get blank cartos to fill with your own juice. And for liquid, I recommend Kick Bass Vapor and Rockstar Vapor.
