so good news and thanx for all the helpful notes and good luck on cutting back fox...
friday met with the finance and builder ... they seem really positive about the house so I'm really getting my hopes up about it I am sooooo excited

I think that when hanging around with friends who vape, one definitely chain vapes. I vape so much around my friends that sometimes I get that awkward dizziness feeling 
LOL! I don't even know what mg I'm vapin' most of the time.
When I'm stressed and find I want to keep that "pacifier" going - I use the lower nic (got sick to my tummy once on 12 or 18 mg).
When I'm really stressed and start thinkin' about analogs - I tweak (Clearo's are perfect for this!) with some 24 mg ... but I only use that for a short time while I remind myself to take a deep breathe; and another deep breathe; and another; and another ...
For the most part I've decided I need to change the way I think about our current situation: moved in w/ mom & bro to help mom take care of the house. We are POLAR OPPOSITES! Sad to say - could have done an episode on Hoarding Buried Alive last spring. Spent last summer (5 months) cleaning - drying walling - new floors and partially finishing the basement. Our place has been on the market 11 months. We are s'pose to close mid-October. The last 4 months have really seriously thought about running away. Didn't know where but I was thinkin'.
The past 2 weeks really workin on PERSPECTIVES and the breathing. For that reason - I can't tell y'all how MUCH I've enjoyed the humor at ECF! I'm still semi-sane thanks to time here!
So, MIDWEST MOM: Hang in there ... Remember: "This too shall pass."

Okay, so I have cigarettes here. In plain site, with a lighter on top of the pack. My car has been in the shop with an electrical problem waiting for the top tech to get back from a training class. So, he calls me and tells me what the problem was, which was the national well advertised car parts chain that installed my battery shorted the main relay to the electrical system. Price is steep, plus the cost of the battery I bought from the chain. And since the chain has high powered lawyers and I am just a little guy, getting anything out of them except the refund for the battery isn't going to be easy. I felt sick at how much money that cost me, and looked at those cigarettes and by sheer will stuffed my pacifier in my mouth and and sucked down a lot of juice.
Success! I didn't have that cigarette. But boy did I want to. Crises averted! Now I have to refill my tanks

I just had a vaping friend go through just about the same thing. Had always talked through the craving. This time I said go ahead and light it. A coughing hacking fit later.... I got called every name in the book for ruining cigs forever. LOL. There are times when I think I want a cig, but every time I've tried it over the past 2 months, it hasn't been worth it. You did good.
Stress vaping..... go for it. Think of all the cigs you would have smoked and give yourself a pat on the back.
Well my weekend came and went still vaping more than normal but it's died down a bit... still got some stress stuff going on but just waiting on a call back for the job now so it's not as bad... and the house the financing is irritating ... but nothing i can't handle...

Yaayyyyy! Good for You MidWest Mom! I do hope the situations "burn out" soon so you can relax a bit an "enjoy" some peace!
Your quite right - sometimes being able to vent is enough. I always think of a workshop: Your emotions are like a bank account.
Look around you - do you have positive people who support (make deposits) you to balance out the people who lean on you (withdraw) for support. If you have too many making withdrawals - your going to run into trouble eventually.
This is where ECF comes in ... the humor is priceless!

OMG OMG OMG OMG just got the call and I got a job offer... thank you everyone for your well wishes ... as long as i pass a general physical and drug screening I'm in ... WOOT ... YEEHAW ... I'm so dorking out over this so huge for us and I shouldn't have a problem with passing either of those things.... WHEEEEEEE adrenaline high
Congrats! I know how excited I was one when I got my offer for the company I'm working for now. Now.. I stress vape after work all the time. Having your head buried in code all day is not fun. Does not feel the same as I thought it would when I initially got the job but hey whatever helps you to cope. It is normal if you ask me. My nic level has been at 12mg for a long time.
Its almost as if I don't feel it anymore. Well I do but its not so intense anymore. Was thinking of trying a higher level but I dunno then maybe I would vape less.

went for my physical last evening and funny the nurse practitioner said I'm in awsome health I could just stand to lose a few pounds... thats another huge boost from not smoking stinkies
Congratulations! I hope it all works out as you hope it will, or even better! And if you're not fighting the battle of the scale, you're just not a human
I agree, a job you absolutely love is great. But for me, as a software developer its hard to find one that you like and love to go everyday to lol. Always a hassle with business, other developers, requirements, stressful deadlines. If you ask any other person they don't say they love it haha. But the benefits and bonuses are great. I guess finding a coding job you like is tough because you may like what you do just not how that company does everything.
Its what I know how to do so I need to stick to it. Doing other things would be boring sometimes to me. I'm glad I found e cigs to be honest. I would go out for smoke breaks like crazy at my old building and just talk to the rest of the smokers. We would be out there quite a bit but in my recent role there is no time for that. Soon you won't even need to vape at work. You just get used to having less nicotine to get you through the day. Go in with a smile and don't let small things get to you.
