Some things happened the last few days that really have me stressed out..I can't really say what happened on this board but it was enough to get me reaching for my cigs this morning. Even though I picked them up and came very close to smoking one, I decided to put them back down and just smoke my ecig. I didn't want to mess up my smoking ticker in my siggy. Go figure.

Agree - the legislative tension over in the US and the spammers and spooky posts and all the rest....it's frenetic and frustrating. Plus the consumer pressures.
Thank goodness there are oases like the Women's room and a couple of other fun threads.
Tomorrow I'm gonna go out all day even if it rains and chill.
All the best Cori.

Thanks so much for the support Caesarea. You're right about all the frustrations in the world. Sometimes I just try to tune the whole world out. Getting out sounds like a great idea, I should probably do that too.

Right! It's a deal - tomorrow I'll let you know what happened - it really is too absorbing this forum, a dose of fresh air and a cafe terrace to vape at is what's needed. :p

After all, I'm meant to be on holiday!!!! :) Not reading all about the Janty Stick!!

Also, I fear it's a month or so since I last went to play around at the gym.
Gotta stretch those muscles!

Wonder if I can vape and treadmill simultaneously...?
Worth a try...

Hey Cori, I had just quit the analogs at the begining of April when my son ended up in hospital - and straight back to the analogs I went. I think I bought a few more packs, but finally got back to where I was.

I think we all have a slip or two and go through the stresses of normal life and the extra things that get thrown in just to spice up our lives.

I realise now (after the fact) that smoking those analogs when my son was in hospital didn't really help any...

Cori,

I hear ya--both on the stress and on not wanting to break my "record"! I'm about a week short of three months without an analog--and in those brief (amazingly brief) moments when I think I want an analog, I always think ... naw ... I don't want to start counting again.

If it's any help, when I feel those cravings, I use some harsh juice (like Janty Shag), and the cravings go away.

My best to you. I understand the stress. I'm under a considerable amount of it myself these days....

You did well Cori! It doesn't matter why, you did it! You have to remember that Stress is a part of life, it will always be just around the corner.
We deal with it the best a we can and move on. Smoking isn't the answer, it's like Wildsky said, it didn't help. Then you deal with having to reset the counter and the guilt, washing your clothes and hair...better to eat a chocolate bar and deal with the problem that caused the stress! If you can't..take a walk, bake something read a book just try to find your calm spot.
Oddly enough my safe place is here!

I'm stressed too, some very unpleasant things have been going on around here. I know I shouldn't hang around but I'd miss the company if I didn't :(

For sure Kate! Sometimes I would like to make them hear me say.."Go to your room! Don't come out until you grow up!"
You know I am sorry you had to deal with the jerk, but you sure did it well!:thumb:
But the twits of the world are everywhere. A lot like rats..you just gotta snap the darn trap on em. That sweet little chocloate Kitty isn't gonna do much I am afraid.
Yes Cori, I did notice you avoided the cig like the plague! That's why I said: You did it! May I should have said..You didn't did it..umm that came out wrong:rolleyes:

Yes, well done for resisting Cori, that's something to be proud of yourself for.

Thanks Mary, I tried not to get involved with the drama but didn't seem to be able to get away from it. There was too much psychological messing around at too deep a level and now I feel a bit paranoid and uncomfortable. Hopefully that will pass soon.

I apologise to anyone who might have been upset by anything I did or said.

Kate! Idea! get your self a nice big blow up dummy and kick it..a lot!

I paniced the other day when I posted and got back a smart mouth answer. I hate dealing with that kind of thing because as you said..we get caught up in it. Plus the fact that I always think it's personal..of course it's not, it's just someone who is acting out. It's never good to even respond, but who can resist!
Mom used to call them 'Pills".
hey you know what? That wasn't a half bad idea..a punching bag when we want an analog due to stress. I bet Mike would hang one for me..

Yes it works!

When I was about 9 or 10 I made myself a punching bag, just a plastic carrier bag full of old paper or plastic bags. I hung it from a tree in the garden. I would rush out of the house, swing jump over the garden gate into the street, pelt along the street then race back, vault the gate and batter the punch bag to destruction.
Bim Bam Smash Thunk Whop KO!

Why???

Was I acting out compensation for bottled up aggression?

Nah, I was a Bronco Lane fan.

Ty Hardin was my all-time hero!!!!!

That was when cowboys ruled and British children were allowed to see them on TV.

Now back to today. Yes I did go out. Yes it was grey and damp weather and uninspiring. No I did not find my steps leading to the gym. However, I walked about 2 or 3 miles and feel a lot less tense.
If only Bronco Lane would show up and I could get this plastic bag hung up properly in the garden...

:D

You think YOU are stressed? All my Vapers Club peeps are counting on me to fix this ban and talk down this legislator and I am practicing over and over so I don't say the wrong thing (like for example.. calling him a homo c*ck sucking *&%$&^ %*^#&6). I have some major anxienty at the moment and I don't even have anyoone to help me mail flyers to all the other legislators. I then have to call all of them next week and see if I can speak to them as well.

I need a vacation.. oh wait.. I had one a few weeks ago. I need a day off then :(

Good Grief Spikey! Breathe in breathe out..I have a solution for you. learn to speak in dingbats..&%^^*(&$ (those things) that way you won't slip. Beligian is another good language, hardly anyony knows how to speak it unless you are from Moline Il.
Mike's Mom and her Sisters used to cuss all the time and nobody understood them..until they went back to Il.
how come the vapers from LI aren't helping you do the mail?
