I was rockin a vivi nova and a 510 adapter thingy on my lava tube when i dropped it. The 510 adapter was stuck in my mod sideways. magically i got it to snap dwn and I thought all was good. However now my 510 slides out of my lavatube effortlessly, and i've come to the conclusion that my threads were striped... does anyone know of a poor mans fix for this problem? Or am I .....ed and have to buy another mod.

sorry to bump an old thread, but there is a fix for stripped 501 connectors that I discovered as I stripped my last GV Splitfire and needed a way to use it...

I wrap the stripped thread with teflon tape which creates a temporary thread so that the top end part of it screws in for some stability. It's not 100% stable, but it works as a temporary fix while you get some new tanks.

well, teflon tape is readily available at home improvement stores all over, and it's a 30 second fix. Extended my last splitfire before reinforcements arrived today (thank god).

I'd be wary of using teflon tape for this purpose. I'm pretty sure the threads are half of the electrical circuit (likely the ground). Now i've never tried to pass electricity through teflon tape, but i dont really see it being conductive.
