I'm using the ecig from v2cigs with their cartomizer and 4.2v batteries. The fluid I'm using is pina colada from northern vapor 24mg with 70 PG/30 VG. Even with the liquid that came with the kit there was very little vapor. Is this a problem with the battery or cartomizer? I'm assuming fluid I bought is ok since according to most reviews it produces a lot of vapor.

...could very well be a carto issue...at 30%VG it SHOULD produce good vapor...prefilleds on the other hand will depend on the PG/VG ratios and you never know who filled it, with what or how long it has been on a shelf since it was filled......

So there is a shelf life to the juice? Does that include DIY unmixed chems, like PG or VG?

I prefer 80PG/20Vg in cartos. Not as much potential vapor as 30% but it wicks better. I like the Bloogplanet cartos for vapor - nice horizontal coil 2.6 ohm with airier stuffing that absorbs and wicks well. you can use Bloogplanet cartos.

However, when you see people blowing huge plumes of vapor on a mod with an atomizer on Youtube, they are probably using thick high VG liquids that dull flavor and TH, and thick juices don't work as easily in cartos (don't move quickly enough through the stuffing to keep the coil area damp)

Yes, usually 18-24 months on flavored juices. Unflavored, if stored properly, will last even longer.

To the OP, it sounds like a cartomizer issue. I vape 70/30 and 80/20 all the time without any problems as far as vapor production goes.
