never noticed this, but my nails dont break really. though it would tie into some people's theories that it promoted hair growth. there was also talk awhile back of someone whose psoriasis had cleared after switching to e-c's but we are waiting for a further report. it could be that the tobacco caused your nails to break in the first place and now that you quit, they are rejuvenated.

How strange, Janet, but the same thing has happened to my nails -- finger and toe! They grow like fertilized weeds! And they practically need a chain saw to cut 'em. I've been inhaling PG formulas since last January.

Again, is this development good or bad? Promoting increased growth from cells? We would notice fingernails, and skin, and hair, because they're always growing and replacing themselves. What might we not notice inside us? This deserves lab study, for sure.

I think PG is good for my fingernails. They are stronger now. I used to get breaks and tears quite often, but now they all just grow evenly. Anyone else this is happening to? I've been e-smoking for about 2 months now. I don't really like long nails, but I could have them if I want.

Very interesting indeed!

I wonder if PG will stop my hair receeding before it starts :lol

Personally I wont notice as my nails are strong enough to carve stone anyway (this does have the disadvantage that if I ever catch a nail on anything, instead of it breaking it will cause me incredible pain)

I'm sorry you broke your toe Leaford - dammit it anyway! BTW, are some of you making fun of me? Go ahead you guys, I don't care, I know I'm an easy target.:) I love this forum when it gets carried away with silly stuff. But I really do think this e-smoking has something to do with my nails. I'm thinking that since my nails tended to be dry and kind of brittle, the PG has helped this. The no-tobacco theory makes sense too. Who knows what all we were doing to our bodies with regular cigs. Maybe my vision has improved and my bones are getting stronger and I'll lose weight.....

I think I'll try and work up a viable disclaimer to go on all things e-cig related.

It would probably contain:

WARNING: The Surgeon General has not determined, has not tested, and cannot support with facts, that e-smoking...blah...blah....blah.

...

However, he has read several blog and forum entries, made by reputable sounding names, that support these assumptions.

(Sorry Janet, I wasn't making fun of you, it was just a fun topic, and an easy target, the topic, not you)

Your video's on youtube are what prompted me to esmokeing. I studied this for quite sometime before deciding on going for it. I could tell that you were quite well verced in the subject. I am completely awestruck that you of all people didn't know about the toe caution that was in my NJOY started pack. Big read letters CAUTION VAPING CAUSES BRITTLE TOES!

My gosh I'm shocked at you!

I have has psoriasis for MANY MANY years, I have been e-smoking since 7/20/08 and stopped smoking that day also, so far I have not noticed any change in the psoriasis, may take longer? Will certainly let everyone know IF I am cured though!

Dremel, my deepest apologies.

Janet, no I am not mocking you (it was more Devilfish I was thinking of ), but it does seem like there's a lot of superstitious thinking going on. Just because something happens after starting e-smoking, does not make e-smoking the cause. There's an old latin phrase for the logical fallacy; post hoc, ergo propter hoc, or something like that. After this, therefore because of this. It's a mistake to think that way.

Or, in other words, correlation is not causation.
