I found that putting a few drops of ejuice on the gasket and on the rim of the tank works great. Just like an oil filter on your car you need to lubricate the seal.
This is exactly what I was going to recommend. When I first got mine, I was having exact same problem, I really cranked it on there once, and I did actually have to wrap the base in a cloth and grab it with some pliers to get it off the glass. Putting just a touch of juice on it, or just not wiping that part off when cleaning, and just screwing it together until you feel it STARTING to get snug, that's the trick. Also, you may want to go pick up the metal tank, I had the T tank for ease of visibility, and I could screw it down until it literally stopped (not that I needed to, I'm sure) and I never had a single problem getting it back apart, no leaks either :). It's a great tank, but like everything else in life, it has its little tricks.

you guys are awesome! I forgot to check back here for the solution because I was ranting and raving and my husband who doesn't smoke and doesn't vape knew it was just best to help me open it. Long story short though, I do have a rare bone disease in my wrist (kienbocks disease) yeah look that up if you bored! anyway my wrists are really weak I am 44 not 84 btw but I have a hard time asking for help... to cut a long story short the best tip you guys gave above where, not to make it so tight in the first place, and second tip that worked the best was use latex, or gloves to help with grip! Thanks guys!! I still hate that they are so hard to worth with lol but I love everything else about them.
