I couldnt find an answer by google so I decided to join in hopes of getting some input on stuck battery tubes for a mech mod. I want to take the whole thing apart so I can polish it and clean up the threads but I cant seem to take the battery tube apart.... I tried using rubber coated gloves for grip but it still not budging... any suggestions? mod is a bv sage.

If you heat the outer set of threads they will expand and if you cool the inner ones they will shrink. This may help get it apart. Find a friend with a stronger grip ;-}

Once you do get it apart get some noalox (or another brand) and use it on the threads. It is made for stopping oxidation on aluminum wires but the grease will help any thread and it has zinc in it and that improves conductivity for anything. Use it sparingly and reapply after you clean the mod. I am not sure exactly what is in it but I don't use it on my attys or anything else I stick in my mouth.

It is used by electricians so look in electrical stores, Lowe's, and Amazon.
