    No you can't
Defined in Free Merriam Webster Dictionary.
    van·i·ty noun \ˈva-nə-tē\
: the quality of people who have too much pride in their own appearance, abilities, achievements, etc.
: the quality of being vain
: something (such as a belief or a way of behaving) which shows that you have too much pride in yourself, your social status, etc.

Vanity - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

79 Instances of VANITY can be found in the Bible all but three are in the Old Testament. Those three pretty much sum it up.

Romans 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

Ephesians 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

2 Peter 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

I was surprised that Ecclesiastes in your list. When I hear the word vanity, that's the first Scripture I think of. I pulled a list from BibleGateway and these are the ones that really stood out to me. There are so many and deceit and lies are usually included with the word vanity.

    Psalm 10:7King James Version (KJV)
7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.

    Psalm 12:2 KJV
They speak vanity each one with his neighbor: with flattering lips and a double heart do they speak.

    Psalm 39:11King James Version (KJV)
11 When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity.

    Psalm 62:9King James Version (KJV)
9 Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

    Psalm 144:8King James Version (KJV)
8 Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

    Psalm 144:11King James Version (KJV)
11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood: (When I read this one, my first though was a teenager!)

    Proverbs 22:8King James Version (KJV)
8 He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.

    Ecclesiastes 1:1-3King James Version (KJV)
1 The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.

There were many more if anyone wants to check it out. After all the Scriptures posted, I think we definitely have a good idea of what Almighty God thinks of vanity. But, just remember, when you point a finger at someone, the thumb points back at you. We all need to take the log out of our eyes first.

The way I see it, were always measuring ourselves against each other, when the we should be measuring ourselves alongside of God and seeing how we fail but stubborn man thinks he found a short cut to be good and puffs himself up with boasting words like I'm better, smarter, know more and etc then others but in real time we all fall short.

IMO it was VANITY VANITY VANITY that Adam and Eve disregarded what God said and they both thought they knew what was better for them. Obviously they thought they knew the Mind of God and He was keeping something from them while all the time God was protecting them from evil. But that's my opinion for today who knows how I'll think tomorrow.
