Hi All,

Really negative study. Wonder if it ANTZ sponsored.

It's probably funded by the United States government, of course - Research Triangle Institute is one of the biggest Fat Cats of all. They've gotten a cumulative total of at least $873,438,050 from NIH, of which $245,034,802 came from NICHD and $212,333,755 from NIDA. That's nearly a billion dollars so far.

UGH. My younger brother posted this to FB. When I replied it's crap, he got into the "well, vaping could be better than smoking, but we don't know enough, there aren't enough studies, and why all the comparison to cigarettes?" I've tried to get through to him before but I fear there is no hope.

RTI's Jonathan Thornberg (lead author of RTI's propaganda on e-cigs) spoke during the public comment period at last week's FDA dog and pony show demonizing e-cigs. He's trying to get more funding from NIH and/or FDA (and he's following Stan Glantz' playbook of demonizing e-cigs to secure federal funding for himself and his colleagues at RTI).
