On a whim the other day I decided to try this out. I had a couple atomizers that were no longer wicking very well. They were measuring proper resistance, getting red hot, but not producing much vapor. I stuffed aquaclear down into the atomizer from the cart opening until it looked like there was a little white doughnut surrounding the bridge area. I was afraid it might burn and give me some off flavors, so I took it slow, not inhaling and getting it really hot multiple times.

I pulled out the aquaclear and it was totally clean and white, so no burning. What I DID get though was TONS AND TONS of vapor, and better taste/wicking than I've ever gotten out of any so far. I have two stuffed at the moment that are just amazing vapes. You guys should definitely try this.

I wouldn't want to put foam that close to the heat source myself. But I wonder if you could use a string of that super-heat resistant wick material instead of foam? You know, the type of fibers the coil is wrapped around.

I've got an LR510 atty that refuses to take liquid thru the metal mesh bridge. Never has worked right. Otherwise functions perfectly (dripping is great with it). Very frustrating atty. Liquid soaked foam sitting atop it and dry burning vape.

The coil is still down a little further from the aqua-clear, so nothing is burning. I was a little paranoid about that at first, so I tried to melt the stuff just to see. I've been using this atty this way for three days now, and it's absolutely fantastic.
That's really cool, you should do a video tutorial on how to do it. Just so we have some visuals, ya know

Well I don't really have that capability here. I'll see if I can take some pictures at least. It's really not that hard. Just fill in the area around the atomizer bridge with blue foam or aqua clear. If you get it too high it'll juice on you, so just almost to the top of the bridge seems to work best. Still kicking with no melting or off flavors.
