I did a cut insulator job to one of my Stumpy clones & then I bought a Catfish modded real deal Stumpy & unfortunately there is no comparison. The cut insulator besides being unsafe does not compare with a real deal BF one. Do yourself a favor & at least get a Fat Daddy pin to modify then drill a squonk hole in the base. Besides being safer the squonking is much improved with the hole.

Do you have a link to the correct pin?

Is there any way you could link me to the right Fat Daddy pin? Lets just say I had a slight 510 pin snappage while drilling it.
That would be due to the pin being copper and your drill bit snagged and snapped... The pins are half way down this page. I can't get a link to the exact item because of the code Dennis used on his site. They have 2 sizes now so you might want to pick up both. I always have some of the 2.5mm on hand, but will be getting some of the 3mm because I have a couple atty's that could use that size. Here's a link to the page...

I just BF'd a Stumpy clone. Damn, is that copper screw small. I drilled right through everything with a .062" drill on a lathe, then shaved down that copper screw so it does not protrude so much. Not much left of that screw after drilling. I then soaked the screw in a peroxide/vinegar mix to clean out the Tap Magic I use for drilling. All I taste is my e-liquid, and she feeds liquid like a champ. Being so easy to build on, the Stumpy has became my favorite atty for now. :)

Just to confirm, the 2.5 screws from Fat Daddy work. Did the whole job with just a Wen rotary tool with cutoff wheel. I took out the center post and cut down just a little to expose the screw hole, then cut the FD screw to length, and cut the head down to size. Sweet little BF atty, better than my Magmas, but barely bigger than the Derringers.
