I agree it has to have an adapter for maybe like a halo carto which is an 808/904 thread if memory serves me correct because like I said I have literally sold hundreds of these units at my buddies B&M shop and never seen one oddball threaded and I have had a few of these apart and if you're not really good with tech stuff it would be a misery to replace as an at home modification.

Yeah the only MVP mods I've ever seen (to the connection) is replacing it with the Fat Daddy Vapes 510 (which looks really sweet on the MVP).

And yeah, it's pretty technical and not an easy thing to do.

Aww crap. Nevermind guys. Already sheared the top off trying to unscrew it. Guess my MVP experiment fails before a single puff has been taken :(

So does the piece at the top come out? Because I have the large threaded piece right at the bottom, then a second smaller threaded section, then a third section smaller again with a thread. It seems like I should have the large thread section, the second middle section threaded and then a hollow smooth cap with an interior thread. I'm definitely missing that top cap.

I looked at mine pretty carefully. It looks like it was all machined as a single piece, however it is possible that the 510 sleeve is press-fit into the bottom. If so, however it is press-fit with a hydraulic press; it certainly doesn't come out easily.

The only thing I can guess is that IF this is a press-fit part, the original owner broke the 510 sleeve off, and replaced it with something else that fit (so it could be used with an ego head). What you have is not a screw-on adapter, since the smooth sleeve on the outside isn't there. Also the top outer threads (that we have been guessing are an 808 thread) don't look right even for an 808. They look like too coarse a pitch.

Uh oh.

Guess it's a bad time for my disclaimer:

"Nyiddle takes no responsibility for any damage done to your MVP."

I'd contact the dude you bought it off of (if you can of course), because he obviously did something very funky to it.

Haha yea no worries, no responsibility assumed. Appreciated all of you guys help. I'll contact the guy, pretty annoyed he was selling this without the info of something clearly unusual modified. Sure he wont care. But my fault for buying something outside of ecf I guess. Oh well it will make a pretty paperweight at least.

Hmm yea that might work. I presume this will work the same way (in stock)
eGo to [eGo] Adapter

Yep. One of the great things about ECF is that you won't just get the right answer, sometimes you'll get it several times! ;-)

I saw a MVP like that somewhere before, I think it was a kit from some online store, it had a weird connector that would only fit their attys. but I may be wrong, it was awhile ago

That's the best explanation I've heard so far about what this could possibly be. It certainly was a puzzle!

And peevish, you completely blew the title of this thread. Not a stupid question at all, actually a very intriguing one!

I think i may have figured it out. The guy I bought it from is now saying it was a special 808 threaded mvp. So i guess that must be it. Nice of him to make that clear when selling it. Hopefully the connector i ordered will at least save it now its been sheared off.
Thanks again for all the help, glad it wasn't too stupid a question. And hopefully this thread will prevent others from trouble.

I like your avatar by the way. Is that from the first or second Raid?
