Yup, sorry I saw this so late but they do indeed make an 808 mvp. Here is a link to the "Volt" version Volt Itaste MVP - 808 Threading

I hope the ego to ego connector works for you. If not, I've seen videos of people who converted thier MVP to a recessed 510 connector. This might work for you.

Interesting, but their photo shows the standard MVP with the 510 threads! Wish they would have had an accurate one....

I'm in the process of swapping out the connector on my MVP2 to a VariTube 510 with spring loaded center pin.

I'm waiting for a m10 x .5 tap to thread the MVP2 top cap rather than grind and shave the sleeve. It's fairly easy to do. Hopefully, I'll have the tap by the end of the week.

Let me know how that turns out, I'd be interested to hear, especially if the adapter doesnt save mine

Hah - doing exactly the same - gonna have to get me the darn Tap too. The hole on top-plate is almost the right diameter eh.

Yep. I was going to just drill it out and use the brass nut but when I popped off the rivet and tapped out the 510 connector, it looked like I could tap the sleeve and just screw the VT 510 in. I thought the top cap was plastic but it's soft metal. Should be strong enough to hold the VT 510 though.

I saw a few guys do this online and it looked like a hack job, cutting the sleeve off and part of the bracket that holds the button board so I decided to wait on the tap.

The tap is a ..... to source. They're over $20 locally (one place wanted $48!!!). I found one online for $9 shipped but didn't realize it was coming from China until after I ordered. I didn't worry too much since this was for a Hana clone that I ordered from FC and it wasn't coming any time soon.

Lol - great minds think alike - I got a hanna box coming from FT too - got the 22mm Varitube for that - seems to fit snug in my clouper hanna - gonna get a DNA 40 for that little project.

Well, I ordered the Hana clone from FC on the 4th. I've been waiting for my local VS shop to get their shipment of rDNA 40s but it's been 4 weeks so I just ordered it online a few days ago. Last night I ordered a FT Hana mini clone. I haven't received any of them yet but it hasn't stopped me from ordering more

I have plans to upgrade the Hana with at least a VT connector (ordered a few more that I received yesterday, 1x 22mm, 3x 14mm). I ordered some fire buttons too. Either the full size or mini (or both) will eventually house a DNA 40.

Since I got the VT connectors so fast, I decided to put one on the MVP2 which is what brought me to where I am now. I did install one on my Istick but I had to use JB Weld to hold it in place. Not the best but the Istick was a donor to see if it was even possible. I had to use a washer to lift the whole connector to clear the fire button.

I didn't need to tap anything.

Once the old connector was removed, the hole that was left was big enough to put in the new 510 connector.

There is a large brass jam-nut on the backside of it that will hold it in tight (once the nut is tightened down)

Did you remove the tube behind the top plate?
