Stupid things to do with your e-cig parts

Ok, I've just done the stupidest thing. Totally trashed my 510 atty.

I popped off the cart to top it off and some of the cart filler got stuck on the atty's bridge.

So I take my tweezers and I'm pluckin' away at getting the filler fibers out of the atty.

And I'm pluckin' and pluckin' and I start to think this is a lot of stuff and what is this stuff it doesn't look like cart filler.

So I get me specs on and take a look - 8-o - I had plucked the wick out from under the bridge!!

I didn't even know this was possible!!

So my lesson learned is don't touch until me specs are on - helps to see what you're doing hahaha!!

Anyone out there that has done some silly things with your e-cigs that's a no-no?

I plucked the wick out of my atty about an hour after receiving my e-cig. Putting it back in caused even more problems. I'll never do that again.

I seen the sparkle in my wifes eye when she seen my zi moshi. I knew I was in trouble!! She asked to try it...... I let her know the zi moshi wasn't like her 801 she had to DIRECT inhale it!! I thought she was going to cough up a lung!! She gave it back and hasn't touched it since. hehehe

Well Mamu, I am a bit embarassed to admit this..but since you guys won't tell anyone..
I decided to try DIY a grape vape. I put the lorann's grape and some PG and Glycol. I put it in my p.v and vaped..some got in my mouth and I got purple lips!
Not a good look!!

well ok, i was not tell anyone even my GF, i had to get rid of my cig-lighters. too many times with the SD hanging out my mouth, no hit, i put a lighter to it and only then seeing it was a button stopped me. the other thing is i got rid of all the lighters and matches and we went camping saturday to sunday...it was dark and cold, and the food was uh, well we did not eat much. i did not tell her why i got rid of the lighters, only that i forgot them...

Now my hubby's Anna that's a different story. She's definitely fat and lazy lol! She likes to climb into things that are way too small for her.

Oh, you poor girl! I can't imagine how you shocked yourself with that one. Yes I can! I didn't pull out the coil but I pulled out the funny black metal stuff off the bridge. In my own defense, it was probably shot anyway, pretty crumbly! We all do dumb stuff, trying fix something you don't really understand can be humbling. I know all about the specs, too!
Darn, sometimes they're just not handy, so go ahead and try to make do. Not good.

My first week without smoke, I was scatter-brained. I vaped a 901 (mini) dry while driving and didn't want take the time to pull over to top off. Luckily I caught a red light.

It was a stale red light by the time I got completely stopped. I quickly removed the cart, the bottle, it's lid and realized that I did not have my reading glasses on. Yea, all three drops went down the air hole. But I didn't know that…

I was doing ~30mph when I sucked all three drops into my mouth. OMG! It was a good thing nothing got in my way during the next 3-5 seconds, because driving was not high on my priorities at the time.

Dripping and driving is stupid.


Another time; with my first 801 (pen style) I was vaping thru the primer, and disliked the taste. I was a little rough, when pulling out the tight cart, while pulling against the battery. (I may have been bending it at the same time). The att came apart at the seam (tube separated from the att). All I had to do was re-glue it back together. However, I wanted to bypass the primer by rinsing it out with 91% Isopropyl and then thought it would be a good idea to blow out the remainder with 120 psi air. When I did, I saw the fibers fly out. Opps!

On close inspection (10X eye loupe), it appears that there is four holes in the ceramic ring that houses the nicrome coil; two for the wire that powers the coil and two for the fibers. Apparently the fibers ends 'are intended to be' sandwiched between the metal mesh and the outside of the ceramic ring to draw juice from there, into the center of the heating coil. - No I would not attempt to put them back in either.


Between e-cigs, real cigs, and cigars. – And stupid things to do with them: Clinton already took the cake. LOL
