How well do these hold up? Has anyone built anything under 0.3? For cloud chasing I usually build 0.2-0.3, not sure how well the contacts will hold up.
If you flip the spring upside down and solder the spring were is has been pressed together you can enjoy the same improvement and breath easy knowing your spring will drop . I am totally against any modification that wont break the connection with a dead short . your playing with fire and there is no need toHi, guys. Looks like my input might be appreciated here.
Yes, the voltage drop tests were good when comparing the gold contacts to homemade brass contacts and outstanding when comparing the gold contacts to the original SS contacts. The fuse mod (which, OP, as a super-subber, you should look into), yielded better results than both springs when used with any/all positive contacts. The original tests were run against 0.20 ohms.

Even better than the fuse mod (as far as voltage drop and consistency in performance, at least for super-subbing) is the shim mod, which I'm a huge fan of, personally. The bottom fed Tugboat V2 below is currently built at 0.14Ω. Zero problems with liberally applied Noalox.
PLEASE NOTE: THE SHIM MOD WILL NULLIFY HOT SPRING/SHORT SAFETY!
