Question: Unless I'm just missing it, the picture does not show a new center pin and the two gaskets. However, it does show the little female screw on part sticking out of the new hose. IS a new center pin and new gaskets included in the kit, but just not showing in the picture?

I was wondering the same thing. I sent Rob a PM asking him about this. My poor TRA Grand is badly in need of a new gasket by the 510 connection...

From what I know the pic on site is of the old rebuild kit. You know Rob will do us right and hook us up.

The old kit did include those, so imagine the new one will as well.

I sent an inquiry from the site.....but I went ahead and ordered one, too. If the pin doesn't come with it, then we'd need to rethink how we take the little female connector (that IS showing in the end of the hose in the picture) off. His video shows to just twist it off with pliers....that wouldn't work if we need to continue to use the pin we have. I'd think we'd need to remove it a little more carefully, for sure.

ADDIT: The picture on the site is new. It shows the new shape/color of the new stuff. I agree that Rob will certainly take care of us. But IF a pin is not included, then maybe he needs to get rid of the video so we don't all ruin our center pins in the process. Ha.

If you hold the nipple part with a pliers and then use a flat blade from the top on the center pin they can be taken apart. I've done it a few times when I was putting the brass firing pins in. However some have broken them while trying that.

Yeh....it can be done. The video shows him just snapping it off. I'm just a little worried that some will do that before they even realize they need to "save" the pin. Ya know? He's got the video right on the same page where the kit is listed. I thought it might be a new video showing how to unscrew it instead of snapping it off, but it's not.

While we're worrying, I'm a little worried about EVERYBODY doing this themselves and not realizing how easy it is to strip that screw that holds the delrin cover on. Since it just screws into the aluminum on the back of the REO, it just needs a light touch.....not much torque. Once it's stripped, it really is almost impossible to "fix." I sorta feel like maybe we need a warning thread to talk about some of these things. Like Rob says, lots of people think they're mod Jedis. Maybe I'm just being a sissy. I just have this fuzzy picture in my head of dozens of threads popping up concerning the screw-ups. Keep in mind, Filthy, YOU are the one manning the 911 switchboard. You need to prepare yourself for the epidemic....

i did ask him about that video back in the day Jan, and he snipped the pin off and discarded it just because it was easier and faster to do it that way.

If i remember rightly it was because he superglues the nipple on there and that makes it time consuming to get off in one piece, which is not really practical if you are doing customer rebuilds 50 times a day.

I'm pretty sure the kit contains everything it did before just with the 2 upgraded components rather than the old ones, but if i am wrong then i'll give you one of my "old" rebuild kits for the gaskets and pins in it.
