While we're worrying, I'm a little worried about EVERYBODY doing this themselves and not realizing how easy it is to strip that screw that holds the delrin cover on. Since it just screws into the aluminum on the back of the REO, it just needs a light touch.....not much torque. Once it's stripped, it really is almost impossible to "fix." I sorta feel like maybe we need a warning thread to talk about some of these things. Like Rob says, lots of people think they're mod Jedis. Maybe I'm just being a sissy. I just have this fuzzy picture in my head of dozens of threads popping up concerning the screw-ups. Keep in mind, Filthy, YOU are the one manning the 911 switchboard. You need to prepare yourself for the epidemic....

I +5 this. We've all seen folks dive in without looking with disastrous results. Maybe forewarned is forearmed, at least for people that bother to read :)

I was so hyped all day at work. I finally get home and........sold out.....bummed. :(

The bright side is that I've got some tasty homemade pizzas in the oven.....and I gets to et em' :)

Yup. That's what we get for working. I was actually thinking of sneaking off and ordering it on my phone.. I don't think I saw it til after lunch or I would've then.

FYI: I just talked to Rob,

The supplier shorted him on the springs on this shipment. He will post more complete kits when he receives the remainder of the order.

Being this is Easter weekend when he called it went to voicemail so he will contact them on Monday to find out when he will be receiving the balance of the order.

I am sure Rob will update everyone as he get more info.

I hope this info helps.

Yeh....it can be done. The video shows him just snapping it off. I'm just a little worried that some will do that before they even realize they need to "save" the pin. Ya know? He's got the video right on the same page where the kit is listed. I thought it might be a new video showing how to unscrew it instead of snapping it off, but it's not.

Good idea on the Thread. I been there before, back in the day I used to have 3 phone lines going at one time troubleshooting network servers.

From Robert:
I will have more kits next week .
All the mods on the site if everything goes as planed will be upgraded with the new kits as well . I will have mini kits to .
My hands are tied without the springs there is nothing I can do . I have a whole bench of mods built with everything but the sub ohm springs .
All the mods even the mini mods you see on the site are upgraded with the gold positive contacts and the high heat button .
